  1. It really comes down to the new coach I suppose, if it were me i'd draft Dunstan and Billings or Aish and look at picking up maybe an Ellis and Cross as free agents
  2. Totally agree mate, the thing is IMO if we get the right coach which I think is Eade or Williams, we could rise like Port or Gold coast have, we have a good spine, very good forward line on paper, if we bolster our midfield and get some confidence in the group we could close the cap very quickly, not saying I think we can make finals in 2014 but I think we can certainly be a much improved side and start winning back some respect.
  3. Not sure exactly what picks we would get but say we got 2 and 5 or something, we could trade 2 for an experienced mid, assuming Gws feel they don't need him then 5 we could pick up dunstan
  4. If we got a priority pick he would be a pretty handy bargaining chip in a trade to a side like Carlton or freo who are looking for good forwards, and we need a quality experienced mid.
  5. i love the kids kicking skills, he is going to be an asset
  6. not fussed if roos rules himself out, eade or williams and maybe a sumich or burns in a succession plan might be just as good, roos has never coached a really poor list so he may not be any better than an untried assistant apart from the bonus his profile gives in terms of sponsors
  7. im warming to eade, hasnt won a flag but he has built a couple of teams to top 4 quality and develps players well
  8. pretty sure the match review pannel just get on the crownies and slur out a number, two games for punching someone is just strange
  9. sellar was so impressive in his first year neeldy thought lets get pedo and gillies to top up our spud supplies
  10. he and clisby will be driving our half back line for the next 10 years imo
  11. was thrilled when we drafted toumpas, rated him equal pick 1 with whitfield, great to see him doing okay in a poor side which is never easy
  12. before this season i didnt rate him at all, glad he has proved me totally wrong
  13. garland would be all australian if he played for a stronger side, really emerging as one of the comps best medium defenders
  14. pretty handy core group right there
  15. i think dunstan would be my priority then either billings, aish or couch, any reason for the lack of billings love on here?
  16. one would hope watts would become a better player than dawes fairly quickly with a good coach and a constant run up forward, maybe throwing big dollars at stokes would make it a very complete forward line assuming Byrnes and Rodan aren't around next year?
  17. I'm sure the development and recruiting will have been addressed by Jackson by the time the draft comes so I certainly won't be complaining about any priority picks.
  18. From what I have seen and read I think we will be coached by Roos next year, having said that I would prefer Williams if Roos isn't passionate about taking on the challenge, either way it's great to see Jackson being honest and assessing our need for an experienced coach, the wheel might finally be turning for us.
  19. Might be worth a look, god knows we need guys who can get the footy and probably wouldn't have to give up much or anything for him.
  20. At one point North really rated Anthony didn't they? what happened there?
  21. Aaron davey has mick Malthouse as a mentor i know that for a fact and i know alot of other players go outside the club, i think that's just a personal choice and not really a reflection on the club, i however would be upset if watts walked, we have been pretty loyal to the bloke in terms of defending him when his form hasn't stacked up, i think most of it is just dependant on how each person perceives certain actions towards jack from the club.
  22. Our composure with the ball has been a worry and freo are going to put the heat on probably more so than the teams we have played so far, if our work rate isn't what it was against the tigers at least we could get blown away.
  23. I think this has to do with training, every training session they only seem to be doing tackling stuff at 60-70% effort, they need to go flat out and get the technique right, our attempted tackles stacks up but the ones that stick are ranked last go flat out at training and get this right and we will improve considerably.
  24. i think most would just say they are sick of losing unfortunately, playing for us would be abit like standing against a wall and letting everyone throw eggs at them for a moment.
