Peter Wright the bloke i reckon we will take number 1 is 202 cm 100 kg and normally a PF but can play ruck, he is a ready made replacement for Mitch, but i reckon we need to try and trade in a good young ruck, Goldstein is still unsigned.. maybe he's worth a call
-
I'm betting we have picks 1,2 and 3 1 as a pp 2 as our normal pick and 3 as compo for chip i reckon we need to ask the club if it's possible to delist 20 players this year, 10 players next and get draft concessions because this list will not take us anywhere besides 7-10 decent players that we have
-
you're kidding? we have 3-4 players that i'd lose sleep over losing, Viney, Hogan, Tyson, and Jones, some good young players in Salem, Toumpas, Kennedy-harris this list needs to be delisted and totally start again keeping those 7 players imo
-
3 games into his career, not because he isn't good enough because our coach doesn't want to rush him, we know hardly anything about either besides what we have seen so far, Salem has some grunt about him that i didn't expect.

My mail is Mundy and Frawley will both be at Hawthorn next year as they're trying to extend their premiership window, that's coming from a well informed 25 year member
-
I'm not sure he has ever worked hard enough to crack a game at a decent team to be totally honest, he's a great example of talent only gets you part of the way there.

If this season turns out how we all fear
Ted Lasso replied to Demon_Tingles's topic in Melbourne Demons
I agree, the problems are clearly so much deeper than any one person, it's going to be a long few years. -
Tyson is as good or better on his own i reckon, Tyson looks an absolute gem, and Salem i reckon will be even better than either
-
Mitchy! we need you!

Something to ponder, Fremantle do exams on their game plan, if a player fails they aren't selected, they have to know their role, gameplan and so on inside and out just to become available for selection, then there is training and playing well enough to be selected and hold a spot, at Melbourne, a couple decent games at Casey and you're in.
-
Toumpas was hardly a laughable pick, he was clearly the more highly rated of all the players available, looking back Wines may have been a better selection based on what we need but Toumpas was rated much higher than Wines pre draft so i am certain we didn't surprise anyone with what we did there, Cook, Gysberts and Strauss are a totally different story, it's failures there that have cost us dearly, those blokes should all be in our top 10 players now

I was very surprised we sacked Bailey that day, we were still in contention for finals before that games started, if we sacked Schwab instead of Bailey who knows where we'd be today -
Wines would have made a big difference today, and i am a huge fan of Toumpas, at some point we have to look at our decisions and say, this is a club fighting for it's life, do we really need a project, at draft time we knew Ollie would be good, but felt Toumpas in time would be better, just don't think we realised we didn't have the time to wait
-
Nicholson is also second at our club in terms of long distance running, with an interchange cap that's an asset that can't be considered through stats.
-
I reckon a merger with the Saints or Doggies would be very much on the cards, solves two problems for the AFL in one, and the other of the saints or Dogs that we don't Merge with might move to Tassie
-
this pledge per win idea isn't gunna cost us much atm

Our players are shot mentally, we have been bad for 8 years, port won a flag 10 years ago and played in another grand final 7 years ago, they were always alot better than Matty Primus the dudd made them look -
It's a real worry that Trengove didn't get amongst it more than that at VFL level, scary to think last year he was an AFL captain
-
I'd rather see Nicholson than Grimes, both have shocking disposal, but at least Nicholson is going to run hard and have a fair dinkum crack

Lets be realistic who of our list would we definitely keep Trengove, Grimes, M.Jones, Bail, Nicholson, Byrnes, Fitzpatrick, Barry, Tapscott, Blease, Strauss, Spencer, Jamar, Jetta, Terlich should all be traded or delisted Clark - may well never play again Frawley - will be hard to watch in brown and Yellow Dunn - playing his best footy and is a free agent Mcdonald - also believe he is out of contract Watts and Howe have ability but they're both so inconsistent and frustrating Vince and Cross are doing what they were recruited to do Gawn, Dawes, Hogan - good injured players Clisby, Toumpas, Salem, Hunt, Kennedy-Harris, not sure if i have missed anyone - too young to really judge yet -
If mitch clark retires, i'd offer Trelor 600k a year and Plowman 300 k a year and pick 1 as the trade for them

Absolutely hate the idea of a name change, but a major list overhaul with the AFL's help, we delist all but say 5-10 players and get some draft concessions to help rebuild from the ground up -
6.Dom Tyson 5. Jeremy Howe 4. Tom Mcdonald 3.Daniel Cross 2. Lynden Dunn 1. Jack Watts
-
the only thing worse than the club folding would be Roos putting in 3 years and the side getting nowhere, it's hard to tell if we are dragging out the inevitable or if there is genunley some hope, it's a real worry when even the most loyal supporters are now having serious doubt about if senior officials are really committed to the cause

DEVIL OF A TIME - Match Preview and Team Selection
Ted Lasso replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I reckon Evans is very underrated, i see him as having the ability to be a best 22 mid for us for a long time
