of course, the AFL wants player movement, so that will continue to be promoted, players are going to come and go, and really good players like Kozzie will be chased every off season regardless of where they're playing. I understand the emotional attachment, but we just simply have to trust the club has the right things in place to hang onto guys. He's not going to be traded with 4 years to run on a deal unless we're offered something outrageous

One thing i would say is i really don't see the issue in Alister Clarkson naming Jack Viney, he was very complimentary, i am sure Jack wasn't offended by being considered a culture shaping leader by a 4 time premiership coach. by this stage of the year clubs know players are coming and going long before the media do.

Not only is your take on this absolute garbage, it's delusional to think a contract extension is negotiated with someone like Max since the Petracca drama started 5 minutes ago, they would have been talking about this for weeks. I would happily pay max til he's 40 for what he's done for this club, not just lifting the cup, but dragging us from a mediocre nothing club to 3 consecutive top 4 finishes.

Given Max is very likely to be the All Australian ruckman this year i really don't see any issue with him signing on for 3 years.

Even with finals out of the question, finishing the season on the back of back to back wins and seeing this game plan start to work could really set us up for a pre season! i hope we attack this game with as close to our best side as we can and beat the Pies.

Honestly, the chances of us pulling Clarko out of North to coach the Dees are higher than Jack Viney leaving the Dees to go to Norf.

Geez, what is the down side to having some experts from the footy industry come in, have a look at how we're doing things and giving us some recommendations on how we can improve? Why not go out and pick 4-5 of the best footy people we can, Brendan Gale, Peter Jackson, Luke Hodge, Joel Selwood, whoever it is and say, can you take a look at our structure, give us some insight into how your great clubs have done it and help us bounce back in 2025 and win another flag. Honestly this would be a very reasonable step to take given the smoke around the club for the better part of 18 months now with several concerning incidents. Noone at the club should be immune from the review, all positions looked at and we make sure we have things right to the best of our ability heading into 2025.

Lets just be honest, winning a premiership is bloody hard work when everything is going okay, we've got issues coming out of our ears. Trading a high end draft pick for a 28 year old is not the right move, lets get our culture right, get rid of the bad eggs and re-load with Melbourne 2.0 Anyone excusing what's going on/gone on from the board down needs to leave, i think the CEO, most of the board and Richo should all be under pressure for this happening on their watch.
