I think the reason roosy didn't put a man back was because he wanted to see if the team would respond, we simply needed our Mids to get their hands on the ball and they didn't/couldn't

I could honestly say not one of our leaders stood up and set an example today It was jack Viney, Jesse hogan, Tom McDonald I was particularly disappointed in the amount of finger pointing. any positives that came from round one are now buried, until this team can work hard for 4 quarters consistently we are just going to dish up the same old thing over and over

Let's take nothing away from the Giants, speed, skill, toughness! Absolutely showed up the lack of speed in the midfield. I felt we were too top heavy, frost offers more up front than Dawes, and jkh would have been handy for a bit more speed

The Giants just had another gear, we don't have the speed or ability to match. That would have cut up a lot of AFL sides, hawthorn like nearly.

Jack Viney has taken a massive step forward in his development, looks a class above to me and his tackling is amazing

I think the real area we can get on top is our forwards vs there backs. Having said that they could get hold of us out of the middle if we aren't careful

I think both trenners and grimes may ultimately need a fresh start at a new club. We really threw our young guys under the bus

Agree I'm not sold on their young core, the fact they are still relying on the old boys is a worry But I don't see the issues as being cultural, just not sold on their recruiting and development in recent years.

I like that our three key forwards are all very different, watts has speed and skill, Dawes works as hard as any forward and hogan is a contested beast

I reckon lamumba, and Garlett will both push top 5 pretty hard

Its a very good thing Nathan isn't one of those, we need the pressure to come right off him this year

I'd be very tempted to have three talls and watts, I think gws lack some height down back and if we can get it in there we could easily get a hold of them, Davis probably takes hogan but if he can drag him up the ground Dawes, frost and watts should have a field day

Great chance to send a message to Dawes, you lose your spot because of a stupid act you have to earn it back.

Hogan, Dawes, frost and watts will be a handful for the Giants if we can get it in there. Cross won't be dropped

I liked that when he made a mistake he didn't sook, straight up and went again, his work rate was really quite good.

Does frost go out for Dawes? Gws don't have any gorillas so he won't be needed down back. Toump for vince is a certainty for me. I hope brayshaw plays most of the game and jkh is sub
