I'd much rather see brayshaw play than some of the guys who have been around a while like Jordie. He already has a pretty solid frame, is dominating vfl level and I reckon he's ready to go, there is a fine line between protecting kids and holding them back and I reckon Angus is ready to play and make an impact right now.

Simon Goodwin rates the toump, he will not be traded, but he really needs to nail down a spot, his game against the dogs is what I expect from him every week, he is a third year player and it's time to deliver. And personally I think he can, having watched him train up close all off season and seen some of the coaching that he's getting I certainly think his issues are 100% confidence

A premiership game plan is built on defence and contested ball, Roos is trying to implement that at the same time as dealing with a bunch of young men who have had the stuffing beaten out of them consistently for the last 8 years and have no clue how to win, he is laying the foundations for Goodwin, he was never going to win us a flag in his 3 years, this was never going to be a quick fix, the attacking side of the game will be irrelevant if we can't defend. We simply have to get that right now, it needs to be autonomous for these guys to run two ways and defend well before we can even worry about attacking. We are just starting to get some pieces coming together but we are a mile off being able to show it even on a semi regular basis.

Particularly with the position of the club, as much as anything we need to get people excited about the club, a father son prospect absolutely ripping it up does that, but day 1 of his AFL career the expectations internally should help to take the pressure back off the kid. much like Angus Brayshaw, i think alot of people expected him to play by now but i think Roosy will make a point of making him beat the door down.

I agree, i think the next big question mark for me is how will Simon Goodwin go as a senior coach in his own right, i am reasonably confident that while both Roosy and PJ are at the club we will continue in an upward trend but it's aways dicey hoping the successors can keep that going.

if that happens Ahmed Saad would be well within his rights to write in and ask why he got 18 months or whatever he got for purchasing something that was banned but the players who have likely injected a product that is clearly banned many times only get weeks, soft penalties would only open up a can of worms i don't think the AFL is capable of dealing with.

A turn around is a much broader thing than on field success, we have gone from a club on it's knees to a significantly improved club in all areas, if that's not a turn around i'm not sure what qualifies.

Potentially, but i would say we are in a much better position that i've seen the club in terms of having an off field structure that is financially responsible, works and makes sense and on field we have a solid long term plan run by quality football people and some strong young talent starting to emerge

Everyone says the Cats will land danger for sure, I'd be shocked if the Cats have more cap room than the crows. i'd be very surprised if the Crows didn't match any offer made for a player of Dangers calibre. I'd be surprised if sides like, Us, GWS, or anyone with money didn't pick Danger in the draft if he chose to go that way. the simplest way he could have moved back to victoria is by telling the crows last year that's what he intended to do, and allowing them to take pick 2 off our hands, actually get some decent compensation and him accepting the huge dollars and term that we had on the table.
