Loved when he took on buddy coming out of defence, quickly becoming one of our better players
-
If Garlett was more efficient he'd be he best small forward in the game imo
-
Serious issues down at Carlton, Seems the decision on mick has already been made.
-
Enyaw is back finally some common sense
-
Last year we tried our guts out but didn't have the class or polish to match Sydney and they cruised this year we played well below our best with some important players missing from our side ( Jetta, Viney, Kent ) i'd say that's a sign of a decent step forward
-
Out: JKH, Pederson In: Viney, Jetta Dunn Mcdonald Jetta Cross Garland Lamumba Salem Viney Toumpas Watts Hogan Brayshaw Garlett Dawes Howe Spencer Jones Tyson Vince, Newton, VandenBerg Stretch
-
Would anyone else be tempted to offer Cross another year? even if he plays half the games and some at casey he sets a great example and is a fantasic leader

time to throw out all of our plans for the year?! we're sitting 2-4 have beaten Gold coast lost to GWS ( currently sitting second and beat the Hawks yesterday ) lost to Adelaide ( seriously challenged but fell short over there, against a team currently sitting 4th) beaten Richmond ( played finals last year ) lost to Fremantle ( competed fairly well for half the game, but had lapses against the flag favourites ) lost to Sydney ( probably the most talented list in the comp, 2 of the last three grand finals ) we aren't getting beaten by dud teams, we all knew where our team sat going into the year 6-8 win team showing signs we could be a 10-12 win team in 2016 i think we've shown signs we're on the way up, probably lacked some polish and composure against good teams and it's cost us, and we've had lapses as young teams do. certainly don't feel like we're playing anywhere near our best, but i also don't think things are so bad we should just start playing kids and planning for the future, and that goes against the culture we're trying to build

I'd say he's the best CEO by some distance, a measure of the change in quality of our administartation is how little we see/hear from them, they just pull strings in the background, i feel that's how a good footy club works.
-
If Bernie cops weeks my interest in the sport will drop significantly, he is attacking the ball the way any footballer is taught from day one of their footy career, he attacked the ball, sometimes the other bloke cops a hit because of that, it's part of the game. teach blokes to protect their heads better, it shouldn't be on the bloke attacking their ball to hesitate and change the way they go for it incase someone else might be there.

I'd suggest some do, Brayshaw, Salem, Viney, Hogan, Mcdonald, have all recommited in the last couple of years, so that's a good sign. I think Goodwin will implement a much more obvious attacking focus when he takes over at the end of next year, and i feel that the improvement we have shown is quite obvious, as Roosy himself said, 12 months ago our games against Freo and Sydney were 100 point losses, we have managed to restrict that, it's only baby steps, but steps none the less GWS is a totally differnet beast, they have had talent spoon fed to them, every advantage the AFL could give them, they have recieved, and it's cost other clubs, any premiership they win with this current group imo is tainted and not worth as much becuase in a fair system they wouldn't have had access to the same help as they have in this cas.

On the petracca to hawthorn thing, kids contracted and Hawks would want to offer up a couple of good players to get him
-
Feel the game plan is being unfairly criticised, our blokes weren't running anywhere near hard enough to create options and Sydney were making life really tough for the ball carrier, We broke even for Clarence's but McVeigh spent the whole day racking up uncontested touches and mopping up our entries and double teaming hogan and was never really made accountable which i thought was a worry
-
Agree Macca, the quicker our young core group comes on the better
-
Anyone else think there is this mentality that we can't beat these sorts of teams so we don't really attack the game the same way we would a side like Richmond or the Suns? Blokes were so scared to leave their opponent to help out, seemed like we were in damage control before the ball was bounced
-
Reckon Christian would have told them where to go, kid loves the dees
-
Really feel like we are missing jack Viney, quality clearance player

If Tom McDonald isn't the all Australian full back right now something is seriously wrong. The most disappointing thing for me is we just played into their hands and started to score when it was too late and we started to run a bit. Probably going to go against a few other people's opinions but I thought Toumpas was okay.
-
16: Tom McDonald 5: Christian Salem
-
Toump is probably our hardest working player from what I can see, and his touches have been classy but the whole team needs to get involved, I'd rather see blokes get reported for going to hard than soft half ass efforts
-
simply not running hard enough, not creating the options, causing indecision, and in turn skill errors and turn overs. One of the worst halves I've seen from this club
-
Worst effort we have put in under Roos
-
Horrible basic skill errors
-
Guys need a rocket! They aren't running hard enough to create options and when we do happen to win it they hesitate
