  1. Maybe i jumped the gun a little with the whole jumping off a bridge thing, glad to hear he is okay, anyone got the scores?
  2. So this, plus the fact it was pre season and not during the season plus the possibility jack didn't know, would that be enough to avoid the worst of the possible charges?
  3. It will be very interesting to see where this all ends, It seems the AFL is out to get us
  4. I mean really if a doctor says to you, you need to take these pills to get over your flu, you would take them without needing to do 6 hours of research on the medication, i'm sure that was 100% the case with these players before this whole situation became a big issue, doc says to trengove, here is some cream that might help your foot abit, cheers mate. You're right they are technically adults but i really hope some consideration is made to the fact that alot of these players are young, probably not even considering these drugs might not be wrong and just trusting an employee of the club they were drafted to, to do the right thing by them.
  5. Good look at part of the future forward combo with dawes and hogan together
  6. On another note, how impressive has Charlie Dixon been this year! if we get pick 1 this year i think we should offer it to gold coast for him and dion prestia personally
  7. The only thing that's funnier than the way he is playing is the fact that GWS actually thought he was worth the money haha
  8. That's a good theory on their part, but it's really not fair i mean if an AFL clubs doctor asks a kid to take something because it will help them it's hard to see them saying no, as much as it may not make a difference in this case as far as i am concerned this ultimately rests on the doctor and dank if infact something illegal has taken place at all at Melbourne.
  9. I thought Neeld had totally lost the players during the Essendon game, but since the players seem to have really backed him in all of the interviews i have seen, maybe the hole we are in is just deeper than the other teams have been so it's unfair to compare them?
  10. I agree, at his best, absolutely but the question is, how do we help him recapture that form
  11. Thanks mate, i am feeling much better about things, it's abit hard not to be concerned with the AFL looking like it will take any excuse it can get to destroy the club.
  12. Most of what used to be the next AFL superpower is still there only add clark, dawes, viney and toumpas to it, all of this years draft picks look really good which is a very welcome change and then HOGAN! personally i think we have as much upside as gold coast, just not sure how we will go developing it.
  13. I am praying and keeping all fingers crossed that Trengove doesn't cop any serious punishment for this, a two year ban would be a disaster for everyone
  14. Just out of curiosity, at this point would you be willing to offer james frawley an 800k to 1m four year contract extension, show him how much he means to the Melbourne Football club and how highly we rate him?
  15. Great bloke, but he wasn't willing to buy in to our head coaches plans so he is out the door, it's really not that difficult to understand why he isn't here and i back the football departments choice to move him on.
  16. Had a dream last night that we beat them 92-74 howe kicked 6 and frawley kept brown to 5 touches haha, going on that ran down and put 50 dollars on a win
  17. I don't think it would be a huge issue, perhaps someone like robert harvey would command the respect of a young midfield more than say Brian Royal would
  18. Might be able to dish out some nice numbers to a few possible free agents at the end of the year and ideally to sign Frawley on a good long contract
  19. Keeping fingers crossed Trengove is in the clear, it's certainly not having an impact on his form on the field so i suppose that's something.
  20. I suppose alot of that will depend on his performance for the rest of the year, if he looks disinterested at the end of the year it might be time to ask some hard questions of a few of the guys.
  21. If Frawley really wants out, which seems like that is the case, better he goes this year and we can get something in return, better than him walking at the end of next year
  22. I totally agree with this! the other side of it is that as Mark Neeld himself said, we have guys who have played 50 games expected to play like 150 game players because that's what we are up against, our list has some amazing talent but needs a good foundation so when they are 150 game players we can have a real crack at a flag. Mark Neeld sets that foundation and needs to be backed.
  23. I know people would disagree, but at this point i would be willing to back Neeld in for the rest of the year,
  24. On the topic of potential targets, Anthony Miles seems to have fallen out of favour at GWS, i was really impressed with him last year and i know him personally and he's a fantastic bloke, what does everybody think of him as a potential target?
