  1. Haha would be nice but i have a feeling North rate zeibs higher than anyone else on their list, can't see them letting him go anywhere anytime soon
  2. 3 things that i think would make Jack Trengove and elite mid 1. get his pace back 2.push his average touches above 22 per game 3. back in his talent and show more attacking flair
  3. Our list on the whole is okay, some of the decisions have been shocking however, Dawes and Byrnes i can understand, the others i just shake my head at, there is plenty of upside to our list though, the right people will know how to make it shine.
  4. I didn't realise that either until today 3 for pederson 2 for rodan 2 for byrnes and 1 for gillies Byrnes to me was the only acceptable choice of the whole lot :/
  5. Absolutely but it's still not fair, if he played for Geelong he still wouldn't have been risked i don't think, it's the sad reality of where we are at plus some level of poor management as much as i'm sure Trenners was beating the door down to play
  6. At least he was on a one year contract, 3 years for pederson is shocking.
  7. Never expected it would, the second he did a stress fracture i knew we could almost rule this year out as a potential break out year
  8. No disrespect mate but i totally disagree, i think he's our best defensive midfielder at this stage by an absolute mile, and he is underdone, give him a good run at this pre season with no injuries and get abit of zip back and he could well have a very good year next year and beyond, he is all class
  9. In some area's but i think we top them in others, recruit a couple of mids and i would happily say we would top them in terms of lists.
  10. Head of the football department is vital, not something we can chance, maybe he would be better as a forward development coach or something, could think of much worse influences working with clark, dawes and hogan, possibly watts if he plays forward.
  11. I agree, we need our best team on the park for a stretch of games, a break out year from 2-3 blokes and abit of confidence back and things could turn quickly. Just look at Port.
  12. I can't see Gawn going anywhere we have put alot of faith in him considering all our injuries, a contract extension to chip would be massive but obviously not a priority at this stage.
  13. If he walks he is well within his rights to do so but it's vital we replace him with someone of similar experience as it will free up cap room, maybe a Nick Dal Santo
  14. I think Neeld wants us to be Collingwood, and it doesn't suit our list so it's not working on any level. we look much better with a geelong style plan
  15. After one off season our list looks more like a spud farm than an AFL list, some of the players we have signed is an absolute joke.
  16. More simple, don't pay a bloke 1.5 million dollars a year at least when we don't even know for sure he'd be a good mid? haha 1.5 would get us 2-3 very good quality mids.
  17. Barrett will use any excuse to have a dig at us, he's just a [censored], simple as that
  18. It will be a real test of the senior players to see if they're willing to protect the younger kids abit, dawes should get right up him if he goes near jimmy
  19. You're joking? they can't have seriously been that stupid can they?
  20. Look i couldn't care less what the result is as long as at least half the players look like they want/deserve to be out there, the effort last week was a disgrace
  21. This thread still give me a laugh
  22. Dale Thomas ( free agent ) Dion Prestia ( pre season draft ) the priority pick we are likely to get plus Jack watts would make some decent trade bait! I can say with Absolute confidence we have a better chance of getting Thomas and prestia plus potentially two more than we have of buddy even entertaining an offer from us without AFL assistance.
  23. Nah, we would be better off spending that money on possibly 2 A grade Mids.
  24. Fair enough mate, it's been a rough 6-7 years that's for sure, that's why i hope Neeld is sacked and they get the next appointment right! Jackson will fix the structure of the club, we need a new coach to rebuild the culture into the new structure and that's going to take time unfortunately but it will be a hell of alot quicker and easier if we make the right decisions on coaching and drafting and trading from this point on.
