haha Sam Mitchell you legend! So many tears from Hird and Essendon... may they long suffer.
-
Thats a doozy of a username for an Essendon supporter to use. If there is one thing that has not prevailed once down at that club the last 2 years, it is sanity.
-
Who do you think the Dees will pick if we keep our first round selection, WJ? Must admit I haven't been paying attention to the draft or carnival for the first time in years. Probably cos we actually seem to be drafting and developing great kids now and we don't need to look for the great white hope like every other season to take our minds off our crap list and not winning games. Thats a bit of a contradiction though, I guess I should be even more keen to read up on the draft in that case... some more kids for B Mac to weave his magic on. It sure is nice to be wanting to be looking forward to watching the Demons play each week instead of studying phantom drafts by round 8.
-
Doubt any of them get a run this season. We have a lot of good players to come back from injury and a lot of winnable games. We have already debuted plenty of kids this season. I like King, Hames and White though and have no doubt they will all be retained at seasons end.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - ANGUS BRAYSHAW

Well Ablett has kicked 140 more goals and had 230 more scoring shots over their careers, and played 9 less games than Judd. Thats what puts him above Judd for mine.. you cant ignore that sort of scoreboard impact. -
AFL Round 13 - they're all non MFC Games

Ablett is still by far the best player in the comp until proven otherwise -
He will choose his team based on likelihood of success. Not only do I read but I can also tell whats fact and whats fiction.
-
He will stay in Adelaide. He would be an idiot to go to Geelong, they are sliding and about to lose a bunch of their aging stars and their young players arent that impressive. Dangerfield isnt going to save them.

Quite enjoyed seeing Rivers walking off the ground with bis head down after losing to Melbourne and after being exposed by Spencer and Gawn inside 50. Enjoyed it a lot actually.- 713 replies

They have beaten us just once since 2009 The only loss was a game where Neeld had totally lost the players and where Essendon were getting the full benefits of their 'injection regime' We own them.

Last nights AFL 350 with Roosy

If we drop Spencer whos back up ruck? Dawes? Bit of a dilemma. Spencer deserves to play, and Dawes isnt a back up ruck. Might see Dawesy out of the team vs WC.
-
Naitanui and Sinclair vs Gawn and Spencer This will happen and it will be great to watch. Backing our boys all the way.
-
So damn consistent... I bet Bernie is still going this strong at age 32 also. Another year for Crossy in 2016 surely... and maybe more after that.
-
More than anything I want to beat the Kangaroos How frustrating that mediocre club has dominated us for 10 years Jack Viney on Brent Harvey, yes please
-
Yeah, that Dees vs Freo game is placed perfectly for their annual late season 'rest our 15 best players and get flogged by 100 points' game.
-
Dont think dropping JKH for Stretch is needed. Im a JKH fan but Stretch had a better game vs the Cats on the weekend than any game JKH has had this season. Not to mention he kicked one of the sealing goals in the last and hit Howe on the chest for another.

List is going to look really nice after this seasons draft/trade period, dead wood out and some more Salem/ANB/Vandenberg/Vince/ Lumumba type pick ups in! I think the main reason we can get genuinely excited about the list is because we have real development coaches in place now. We had some great talent in 2010-11 but lacked (among a lot of other things) a Paul Roos, Brendan MCartney.Simon Goodwin type development set up that we have now.

Ridiculous fixturing that hurts us as we play Essendope the following Saturday after returning from Darwin. Will need to manage the players well during that week but isnt it lovely so see Essendrug get help from the AFL and given an advantage against us. Nevermind we will still smash them.

What a moment it would be when he runs out in The Red and Blue again. Sends chills down my spinee just thinking about it. Please universe, let Trenners get back to playing footy!

thank god James Frawley buggered off to another club Angus is already twice the player and has superstar potential -
Fitzy 27 touches and 10 marks, nice. If JKH has another big game this coming weekend he will deserve a call up vs West Coast, but at who's expense?
-
T Mac has fallen out of the top 10.. but another Demon has replaced him AFLCA Player of the Year leaderboard 90 - Nat Fyfe (Fremantle) 61 - Dan Hannebery (Sydney Swans) 48 - Matt Priddis (West Coast) 45 - Todd Goldstein (North Melbourne) 45 - Scott Pendlebury (Collingwood) 43 - Dylan Shiel (GWS) 42 - David Armitage (St Kilda) 39 - Andrew Gaff (West Coast) 36 - Bernie Vince (Melbourne) 35 - Luke Parker (Sydney Swans)
