  1. Well my prediction is so far doing better than I thought... had us losing the Essendon game. Perhaps we can be 6-5 after 11 games. This of course means winning all three of the Suns, Kangas and Pies games. All three are 50/50.
  2. Hunt-Frost-Johannsen Fastest half back line in history. Moot point however as JJ wont leave the Bulldogs.
  3. That would be nice. A skilled run and spread midfielder and a small forward that hits the scoreboard. Dean Kent is a gun, he was stiff to be dropped and I have no doubt we would have beat the Hawks with him instead of JKH.
  4. I dont get why he hasn't lost some weight the last couple of seasons to try and get a bit more zip and agility. Its like he is running in cement out there. He doesnt need to be as big as he is these days. He has natural strength anyway. As it stands I doubt he comes in to the AFL team, he is just way too slow.
  5. How can anyone watch that and not want Vince to go to Sloane with a hard tag this week. Surely it has to happen.
  6. If we dont win those two games before the bye vs the Kangas and Suns we dont deserve to be anywhere near finals. That would put us at 5-5 with a healthy %. (THis asumes we lose to Adelaide of course, which is likely). Then we have the Pies on QB.
  7. He could have at least waited another week to see if Adelaide do a 186 on us. Shudder.......
  8. Supposedly Carlton are into Josh Schache too, anyone hear anything about that? Would be nice if just once we could poach one of these young stars instead of them always going to our rivals.
  9. Only if we won every other game, which we wont. We are going to need to cause some upsets to get to 11 or 12 wins.
  10. In light of the blown games vs Hawks, Richmond and Freo we will now need to win at least two of the following matches to make up for them - Round 8 vs Crows in Adelaide Round 13 vs Bulldogs at Etihad Round 14 vs West Coast in Perth Round 15 vs Swans at the G' Round 17 vs Crows in Darwin Round 20 vs GWS in Sydney
  11. Take Dangerfield out of Geelong or Sloane out of Adelaide and I bet they would be less competitive than we are without Gawn. We havent been flogged yet, the Crows and Cats have both had horrible games and neither team is missing their superstar.
  12. Common sense there. Easy to forget our coaches career is just 7 games old, too. And we are missing our superstar ruckman. We are going to be fine. As I said a few weeks ago it will be a frustrating and at times exhilarating season. No idea if that means finals or not, though.
  13. Yeah true, its ludicrous really. Also its nice to see Charlie Cameron get cleared for striking so he can face us this week. The Kangas medical report helped him out - I guess they arent corrupt like the Carlton doctors. On a related note, six goal hero Jarrad Waite copped a 1 week suspension and he will come back to face us the game after next. It is quite incredible how every single thing goes against the MFC, whether it be injuries to us, injuries to other clubs playing us or suspensions/non suspensions that time up perfectly to screw us over. This club is cursed.
  14. Bernie Vince should be assigned to tag Sloane, and not give him an inch all game. The Kangas shut him down, and that was the end of Adelaide.
  15. He had a really good game in that win vs the Crows at Adelaide Oval in 2014. Still remember that beautiful goal he kicked. Shame he never went on with it.
  16. Gotta hand it to Milkshake, thats a great response to his demotion. Too bad he got rubbed out for a week.
  17. Would like to see Ben Kennedy get a shot this week. Hes been playing well for Casey and if JKH can get a chance in the seniors off the back of one Casey game, surely BK deserves a go. Perhaps trial him as a defensive small forward. Direct swap for JKH, same role.. he cant do any worse thats for sure.
  18. No wonder they are playing so poorly eating all that unicorn food
  19. Hes a superstar. We started the season 2-0, and he tore the Saints apart. Left the Geelong game early and thats when everything went to [censored] for us. Of course, the Spencer injury has exacerbated things. We are a young developing side and couldn't afford to lose our one true dominant superstar. He cant come back soon enough.
  20. The worst hoodoo, isnt it? And we were so close last season. Geez, as frustrating as this season has been so far, youre right... losing to North for the 11th or 12th year in a row would be torture. They are despicable.
  21. Probably not the week to try it. T Mac will be needed down back on Tex Walker/Josh Jenkins.
  22. What I fear is how all these close losses will effect the morale of the team. No doubt we are very competitive, but it must be draining to lose so many games we had every chance of winning well into the last quarter. This includes two losses by less than a goal.
  23. Season on the line, you would think. Cant see us coming back from 3-5 when its so close and none of the current top 8 teams look like falling away too much. In - ANB, Stretch Out - Bugg, JKH Sam Jacobs will have a party, it could get very bad for us unfortunately.
  24. Melksham 30 touches and best on for Casey, Bring him back!!!!
