  1. LOL @ Richmond. Worst 5-0 team ever. We will take their spot in the 8.
  2. Second game we have won this season despite losing a key player during the game. (Smith vs Saints, Hunt vs Crows.). Almost rolled the Tigers too despite losing two players. And didnt we lose Gawn during the Geelong game? Geez we have been unlucky. This team has some fight.
  3. We might have the best midfield in the entire comp. Struggling to think of a better one? Maybe GWS, on paper anyway. Anyway our midfield is so exciting, versatile and deep that we will be in every game from now on and can beat anyone, anywhere. Gawn coming back in to give our rising dominant midfield an armchair ride will be awesome.
  4. Hats off to the coaches. Jacobs dominated as expected, and we planned for it perfectly. And great job by Pedders for indeed keeping him honest around the ground and contributing 3 goals.
  5. 6) Viney - dominant, fearless, inspirational 5) Hibberd - if he played for any other team would be being talked up as unanimous AA selection 4) Petracca - looked like a Dangerfied clone when he went on to the ball. That contested mark and goal just screamed confidence. Total beast. 3) Clayton Oliver - made Jacobs hitouts look worthless. A genius reader of the play. 2) TMac - his move forward helped turn the game. Goodwin is a proactive coach. 1) Bernie Vince - obliterated Sloane Unlucky - Salem, Jetta, Pedersen, Jones, Frost
  6. Weid contributed and played his role coming off injury and no form. Very good signs from the kid. He will be a player in a couple of seasons.
  7. Hibberd is recruit of the year. Salem is a star. This was a legendary win.
  8. Vince, Watts, Garlett, Kent All have been poor and need to lift, and if they do we will win. If they dont they should all be dropped for letting us down so badly.
  9. Notice we play the Suns their first game afetr China. They will be coming off a bye, but this ludicrous trip will surely knacker both teams and I bet it derails both of their seasons. If we cant beat Gold Coast, in ALice Springs, when they are just back from two long flights and breathing in the Shanghai air for days, we should hand in our AFL license.
  10. And Tom Bugg had better do something good tonight. Hes taking Billy Stretchs spot in the team who we know will give us something especially on the wide open Adelaide Oval.
  11. Saints now 5th on the ladder. Taking their chances, the exact opposite of what we do. Although it must be nice having an almost empty injury list.....
  12. Ideally he wouldnt be playing, hes not close to ready still.. We are desperate. Tim Smith, or even Joel Smith up forward, would be playing if available.
  13. Weid at FF, he cant play another position, at least not yet. Doesnt have the tank, strength or agility for CHF. His job is to fly for everything and create a contest and crumbs for Trac, Garlet, Kent etc,... any marks or goals from him will be a bonus.
  14. Only the Doggies could pull off such a feat. Am convinced they pay off the umpires. Never seen a team get looked after so obviously by the umps, every single game.
  15. Neutralize Sam Jacobs ruck dominance. He is averaging about 40 hitouts per game, and could break the AFL record this week for most in a game. Hes also very good around the ground. Pedders can keep him honest there but at stoppages we will need to come up with a genius plan to counter the silver service his mids will expect to get.
  16. Joel Smith only 6 weeks away, nice. He is going to be an awesome player and a wall at half back, as he showed in the first 20 minutes of Round 1. Six weeks plus a couple of games at Casey would out him in line for a Round 16 return vs Carlton, give or take a week.
  17. Some big outs for the Dogs. West Coast will likely be 6-2 after tonight, yuk. Wish they would go away, they will never do anything in the finals.
  18. Yeah and also with Jimmy Toumpas, Matt Jones, Rohan Bail, Chris Dawes and Aiden Riley. Thankfully not there tomorrow.
  19. We can still win without Hogan, just like we won in Geelong 2015 and against the Hawks last season when they were two games clear on top of the ladder. The Kangaroos smashed the Crows last week, sure they are a different prospect at home but who cares. The game is ours if we want it. The biggest factor is Sam Jacobs, he is going to dominate the hitouts, it will come down to if we can somehow take advantage of his ruckwork.
  20. I seem to recall Patrick Dangerfield having concussion worries earlier in his career, maybe even up until just a few years ago. He hasnt had one since - is this just dumb luck or did he modify his game somehow? He is obviously still as ferocious as ever and nobody hits contests harder or faster. Perhaps Gus should give him a call.
  21. If JKH had 22 touches and 2.3 we would be hailing it a breakout game and saying he has arrived, especially if it was in a close game we should have won against a current top 4 team a la Kent vs Geelong. Dean was stiff to be dropped.
  22. His career looked gone, the prognosis for his recovery from that foot injury was not great. I bet he is thankful to just be playing footy again, at any level.
  23. Lever and Tom Lynch (concussion test tomorrow) both out would be good for us. Kent a massive upgrade on JKH. Billy Stretch should absolutely be in the team, we need his run and carry and foot skills.
  24. Will never happen. Unless it is done as a publicity stunt , like Garry Hocking changing his name to Whiskas.
