  1. The two players who probably had the most to play for were Fullarton and Tomlinson. Neither did well but Tomlinson was passable. Fullarton... I'll give him a few more weeks Does the VFL play next week or is it a bye
  2. O Tomlinson Are we seeing the gentle closing of the window
  3. Lose to Coburg who went 0-18 last year and you kind of know we weren't going well
  4. The continual dump kicks out of our defensive 50 are amusing
  5. A painful watch Need to apply a lot of optimism to find a promising player
  6. We're six odd AFL players down due to injury which is relevant and we have little up forward.
  7. Was thinking Casey might have a downer this year but it could be a big one
  8. More like 3,000 years old. First with Greeks and the Romans perfected it. The Persians were more the long sword guys. Perhaps we could take a pointer from Cromwell and his long pikes
  9. Post above suggests new guidelines. Pre pandemic dogs were very welcome. I can recall Neville Jetta and his family having a lovely little dog at Coburg. Went to Box Hill immediately post pandemic and certainly lots of dogs... all well behaved
  10. Tomlinson on Dixon I assume and the following week on Walker. After the bye on Daniher Tough ask perhaps
  11. As you say let's see what tomorrow brings but Fullarton is a long way from the proven player that Tomlinson is. You also have to ask will TMac and BBB be able to deal with a five day turn around. Could Lever make it back for the second SA game. Lots of unknowns
  12. A very good team effort against an opponent that played a very old style gameplan. The Lever interview was perhaps a little worrying in that it sounded like he's resigned to missing a couple of weeks but he's glad it's not more. We have some gorilla forwards coming up in the next few weeks so Petty may be spending some time down back. Great to see Fritsch with a bag and two goals by Chandler at key times
  13. bad luck BBB very close
  14. Fritsch having a well deserved day out. Chandler with two key goals. Some good take aways from this game
  15. Good few goals but those injuries could trouble us over the next few weeks
  16. With the Hawks low score this could be a good percentage game if we can get some flow going
  17. Went from way ahead on most stats at quarter time to near even. Lucky that the Hawks couldn't put any scoreboard pressure on. Need a better third quarter
  18. That got ugly quickly
  19. Definitely not. They have some young A listers and a good coach. I can't get a handle on Freo. In 2022 it looked like they were on the way to battling for a top 4 spot in 2023 but it's been all downhill
  20. A regulation win coming up. The following three weeks probably decides if we can finish top 4 The Petty experiment is beyond me but I believe Goodwin is taking a punt on an easy win tomorrow
  21. Their corridor game is almost non existent in this match
  22. 10 odd entries for a point
  23. The reverse sub makes a degree of sense Fingers crossed no injuries to a running player as I'm not sure what you would do
  24. Assume that Jefferson will play forward this week
  25. What happened to Bell. He was a more than serviceable ruck
