  1. 1 out of 10 I suspect that for five of those years at least we were the higher ranked team. Oh well .. let's see what this year brings
  2. was wondering ..out of say the last ten Crown holiday matches how many have we won
  3. with TMac we flattened out his salary so I suspect it's around $300k per year. Have little feeling for BBB. The AFL used to allow special pay out deals with long term injured players but I can't see that helping us if they are just suffering from nagging injuries. With the limits on the soft cap there's not much room for coaching contracts etc. The big hole is of course due to Weideman who we all expected to come into his prime around 2021/22. When that failed we are now looking at Jefferson who is still very experimental and more likely a 2025 player if he makes it. Collingwood have shown that you don't need gun big forwards if your game plan is well structured. We may need to do the same
  4. why not... the Darwin game is an away game and will be rotated through the smaller Melbourne clubs of which we are one
  5. Bulldogs got the trip to Hell having to play in Darwin. Wonder who will get it next year (why am I suspicious) Bulldogs play Geelong next week at Docklands. Looking at both teams last night in that final quarter it doesn't look good. Suns have Adelaide
  6. he would have made a wonderful transitional forward for us as I tried to explain last year. Laughed at by many but tell me who is better Hogan or TMac
  7. the old one sided defensive boundary gameplan. Watch Casey.. they're even worse at it. You'd think at Casey level at least they'd mix it up a little. Strangely enough at Casey one of the few players that likes to play the corridor is Mitch White who of course rarely trains with Goodwin's AFL team. I suspect he "forgets" the mantra
  8. Sadly true but by playing the slow boundary game at VFL level we don't give anyone much chance to shine
  9. average... if not a little under Too many balls delivered to massive (8 player) packs Werribee forwards took some great forward 50 marks though
  10. watched most of the Casey game Flashes from the usual suspects but no one starred.
  11. Last week before the game I posted that the next three games would define our season 0-2 so far Anyone for 0-3 before coming up against Collingwood to make it 0-4
  12. yep any day you kick more behinds than goals is a bad one
  13. Let the excuses begin
  14. nah... it's CAS Corridor Aversion Syndrome
  15. Pick 13 for Jackson... such good negotiators we are
  16. This is not very enjoyable to say the least
  17. Story of our season Same at Casey Boring team to watch save for 2021 finals series
  18. Werribee forwards giving Casey a bath in that last ten minutes
  19. Casey having a hard fought battle with Werribee
  20. agree my other hope is that with Salem back and Rivers in form we look for the corridor kick every now and then. I would like to see one of Spargo, Kozzie or Chandler concentrating on being a corridor receiver
  21. a restricted free agent as I understand it
  22. It's an advertisment for games starting at 7:15 Few would have watched to the end
  23. It's a big one tonight Go Swans (simply because I don't want a resurgent Carlton next week) Continuing on my what's best for us theme Wins by Hawks, Giants, Tigers and Suns would be good. Time to concede top spot to the Pies and back them to beat everyone but us. (Yes I hate it but it makes sense and 2 is as good as 1 in the top 4)
  24. His time on ground is substantial but even when TMac is not playing at Casey they have to give forward time to Joel Smith and Jefferson. My guess is that it's between 70 and 80%
  25. two of them usually would stay until the AFL game has started. In theory they could be at Werribee and warmed up in time to come on in the second half. This would mean Casey would be two players short for a half. All in all I can't see it happening
