  1. Someone left the cake out in the rain I don't think that I can take it 'Cause it took so long to bake it And I'll never have that recipe again Oh, no
  2. Probably our biggest ever Pies supporters pay and they were likely quicker off the mark than ours. Not sure what the monetary return is from the AFL section but it must be good. An old article suggested we get 41% of the revenue at the MCG but how revenue is defined I have no idea
  3. Harmes... a bit of a surprise
  4. One problem is that all the apartment development profit goes to Racing Victoria. We'll need a first class community benefit story to get State/Federal money. Most of those have already been played by the other clubs but there may be one or two left
  5. plus lovely fish and chips on the foreshore before the game !!
  6. This is where the debate is but who replaces him? Smith... not the same type of player Do you play JVR in the TMac role and then play Smith or BBB in the deeper forward role. To win we need 5-6 goals from the small forwards (Kozzie, Chandler and Spargo) and the same from the three tall forwards. Then you get the remaining 4-5 from Petracca and the other mids giving you 15 odd goals. If one of these three groups fail you need someone to kick a bag by themselves. Realistically only Fritsch and Kozzie are capable of that effort.
  7. Avalon airport oval We certainly aren't getting the old character filled grounds
  8. This is what playing Collingwood when they are a game clear on top of the ladder looks like
  9. El Matadore !! It's the new play
  10. The problem is that the law is all about black letter law Nuance is not something it does well I'm back to rewatching Ballers
  11. no.. he's Jeff G http://www.barristers.com.au/barristers/jeff-gleeson-kc/
  12. It's the Matador movement Stand still.. swing your hips .. wave your red cape and allow the bull to charge past you.. Except that this Bull goes onto score Seriously though ... a two hour hearing on a relatively simple point.. This is beyond the Pale
  13. Interesting comment by Gleeson.... Gleeson: It's an interesting question. Contesting the ball, if it becomes too remote from the act of trying to gather the ball, then almost everything is contesting the ball, including just bumping your opponent out of the way so you can pick the ball up.
  14. Love it !!! Jeff Gleeson says Hunter is "an intelligent, articulate fellow who's got a clear view about what happened in this matter" and should stay for further questions if he can. Hunter: "I've got nowhere to be mate other than Saturday at the G'."
  15. it's all in those "eyes" Hunter initially says he's "fairly sure" his eyes are on the ball for the whole duration of the contest, but on re-examination admits it is "slightly harder to tell" near the point of contact.
  16. Gleeson refused to accept videos of similar incidents as it does not comply with the infamous Rule 5.5
  17. https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/teams/melbourne-demons/afl-2023-tribunal-hearing-live-updates-blog-lachie-hunter-bump-on-connor-rozee-arguments-how-to-follow-latest/news-story/429fce1a05f83e461d94f70dec6454fc It's started
  18. Harmes or JJ Harmes tried to do a Viney and break tackles when playing for Casey on the weekend. It worked for him a few weeks back but was not great on Saturday against North
  19. the resting time was North, Eagles and Hawthorn... not one unforced change. We even took Gawn to WA while injured so he could sit in the box. Okay I know nothing about high performance management but we seem to take the same approach. Winter is coming as they said............
  20. Richmond coach Damien Hardwick, the man who guided the Tigers out of the wilderness to win three premierships in four years, is set to quit, The Age has confirmed. The Tigers will hold a press conference on Tuesday to make the announcement, which will be effective immediately. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/damien-hardwick-to-depart-tigers-20230522-p5daf0.html
  21. Three time premiership coach. Pioneered a style of game we called chaos ball. Deserves respect. Has left Richmond as a stronger club than when he started.
  22. he got every chance in 2022. If he had come on we might have had a different outcome. Good luck to him at the Bombers but his time with us was up. Jesse Hogan on the other hand...
  23. Did something happen in GWS' game Second quarter showing 37 minutes on AFL site
  24. they'll trade with Hawthorn/North for a first and second. Would you want to play for North though?
