  1. A couple of weeks ago in VFL our rucks often didn't go up at centre bounces so perhaps there's a precedent
  2. Ruck relief aside I'd be playing McAdam. TMac as stand in ruck relief with Turner dropping down back when TMac is in the ruck. Should win this easily. If not we have some way bigger issues.
  3. I think that the Geelong game may have been the only AFL game this season that we finished with everyone uninjured. It's that kind of year
  4. In a year of 50/50 games I enjoy the occasional stress free win. This will be one I'm sure. As the Pet Shop Boys used to say let's enjoy ourselves "Together" as we "Go West"...
  5. Kyle Langford can take a mark. Amazing development in 2023 by comparison to his previous 8 years on the Essendon list https://afltables.com/afl/stats/players/K/Kyle_Langford.html
  6. You would not be too happy if you were the NT Govt. Pay a million dollars for Gold Coast to play a match in Darwin and the AFL fixtures North and puts you up against a Vic TV match (Richmond v Bulldogs) that will get 80% of the TV coverage
  7. McAdam is the enigma. He played a full game last night. Didn't do much but then again few players did. Coaches would be closely looking at his positioning, ground coverage etc. For those who subscribe to the belief that the VFL is no longer a useful training ground for key players* this wouldn't be a bad game to try him out. Rest Chandler.. play McAdam and sub in Woewodin at half time if McAdam can't get the ball. * Frankly I have difficulty working out what role the VFL plays these days. Like us Carlton's VFL team is currently a cellar dweller so the old adage of being strong at various levels no longer applies.
  8. Good luck Casey I'm off now Was hoping for a little more fluency but... McAdam hasn't done much but he's still on the park which is good
  9. Double miss by BBB
  10. Has McAdam come back on since that knock? Edit Yes
  11. Yea Some system and Fullarton goals !!
  12. Another hard worked turnover but the forward line empty
  13. Zero system in our forward 50 entries
  14. Another goal to Carlton after four or five bad bits of play by Casey
  15. Nothing to excite that quarter unfortunately. Lots of handball to crowded players and a fair amount of fumbling A near deserted forward line on a few occasions was not impressive
  16. Laurie has kicked two absolute clangers
  17. Had thought Casey would be better tonight
  18. Nearly a mark to McAdam
  19. Woewodin playing Lighting atrocious
  20. Collingwood without a recognised forward. Howe to play forward apparently. Dare we hope for an Eagles upset
  21. Fullarton has not been stellar at VFL level. Verral has perhaps outperformed him. Who would you drop so as to include him?
  22. You do realise he's had one VFL game and for the last two years he's been playing for Tyntyder in the Central League. Being drafted by an AFL club would be a massive leap
  23. It's a gimme game in the scheme of things Regulation win Hopefully we use it to get the forward line clicking because... well we all know
  24. No Schache ?
  25. the old honourable loss What fun Saw too many of them in the 70's
