Only if you think we are going to make the GF. The other finals are very rarely sellouts and even then if you are quick there are tickets to be had.

Jake Lever injury - Confirmed ACL

You can do rehab anywhere in the world. Most people would advise getting away from the club until next preseason. -
Jake Lever injury - Confirmed ACL

Does anyone know if Jake is studying or the like? A years paid leave at 22 ... at least there are some silver linings for him -
Filling the hole left by Jake Lever’s injury

Looking at the guidelines it seems that if you are rendered unconscious you are automatically out for that match. ie... no concussion test or the like Playing the next match is a medical decision -
Filling the hole left by Jake Lever’s injury

I believe they have a rule that if you are rendered unconscious it is an automatic sit out for one week. The 8 day break could come into play but I doubt it -
Not excited by those options interesting though they might be. Strange though that Goody didn't try one of of them down back for a half on Sunday. Perfect place to experiment after they knew that they had lost Lever. Smith, Wagner and Frost in that order is my best guess

With the run home we have I cannot see us holding on to a top four spot. Sixth is my prediction. If we do make the four we could go in as favourites for the flag. Assuming Eagles and Richmond take the top two positions it will be interesting to see who is the fourth club. My nightmare is that we finish 7th and play all our finals on the road. After suffering this long at least we deserve to see them live. Darwin as usual will cost us dearly

How many games do we have at the MCG post bye. A membership package that made those available irrespective of whether it is home or away might be a very good seller especially if it was marketed of the back of a QB win ....no emails before the game from the club please!! Realistically I hope the promotions people are working at it because if we win on QB the lid will really be off.

Have almost finished watching the replay of the Dogs game. They definitely had some good ball movement against us. As you say with one or two potent forwards they would have given us a deal of trouble. Brayshaw had a good game but many of his disposals ,unlike last week were not to our advantage. Good signs from Petracca. As you say it really will be a battle of the extended midfields. Somewhat ironic that their key backs are Howe and Dunne.

Do it next week against the Pies and I think you will see the recognition flow especially as he adds sublime kicks to his sublime handballing. Big test for Gus as well
-
Love them or otherwise but GWS not having exposure is ridiculous. Even if they don't make the 8 they will be reasonably competitive. Frankly the Channel 7/AFL love for the apparent power clubs of Melbourne is becoming boring for the average footy fan. Interesting aside many posters on here say they are not interested in any team except the MFC. Me..I love to see the stars play. I have no problem watching a game between two interstate powerhouses so why do we never see them on FTA. Doesn't mean I don't bleed red and blue....simply I can appreciate good football.

Wonderful post BB. How you do it I do not know. When I watch Casey which I have done about 5 times this year I find that watching around 3-4 players is hard enough and if they are midfielders even harder. Glad to hear you enjoyed your day by the bay. It's a lovely ground as are many of the old VFA grounds. I have really enjoyed dragging my chair along to these games, sitting on a grassy verge and walking the ground at the breaks. Can thoroughly recommend it as a great day at the footy.

Could it be that the Pies are better than the present Adelaide team?
-
Agree AF. I was for Pedersen before Smith but Smith just seems to add that little extra around the ground. In the Casey thread I mentioned that Pedersen is a poor man's Tom MacDonald which was not meant to denigrate Pedersen but rather to make the point that Smith brings something different in his round the ground play. Now if woe begod something was to happen to Gawn then Pedersen is the man. BTW I'd also have Smith over Weideman.

Rather unfair SF. Think he's been a little better than the "just needs a good pre-season" Sylvia
-
Petracca's improvement is what we need to have a shot at the Big One. He's got it as we all know.. time to put it on display. He's been doing okay but there could be so much more
-
I suppose it's Petty but he's a long way from ready
-
Harmes is a strong bodied player. Garlett is not in that mould. Perhaps JG has done just enough but I don't see it as like for like. Also Garlett requires space in the forward line... Not sure that's part of the present game plan which is perhaps more a strong bodied push it forward game.

Who are the forward talls for Collingwood other than Mason Cox? Also ... if Lever wasn't manning up over the last few weeks unlike when he was doing that (not very well )in the first few games did that mean the other teams didn't have as many talls as the Pies. Just trying to understand the game dynamics. Thanks
-
Harmes plays in Lever's spot as he did on Saturday and Stretch takes Harmes' spot Another poster mentioned the Harme's move in the Lever thread. I added the Stretch scenario.
-
I don't think we have seen him in the team when the playing group is playing well. His VFL form warrants another chance in the seniors and if not he may as well put himself up for trade.
-
Some big games next week. Three "8 point swing games" including our own. The bye will distort the ladder a little in the short term. Now 10 teams plus the outsider in GWS who can realistically make the 8.
-
Brayshaw wasn't having repeat BOG's. A footballer has to follow the opportunities
-
Balic has never played a senior game TMK. He's played 2-3 ok games for Casey. Not ready yet by a long shot. As others have pointed out Harmes played in Lever's role after the injury. Perhaps leave Harmes in Lever's spot and bring in Stretch... (he was BOG for Casey again today)
-
Could be a good battle with the famous Collingwood midfield. They certainly found a few ways to score today.
