  1. come on Saty... Sandringham had no recognised ruck Many of his kicks were from grabbing the ball out of the ruck They are objective statements
  2. Sauntner v Newton and there were others Sandy appointed the coach and selected the players... we walked away because they didn't deliver
  3. just some perspective.... how many of those were grabbing the ball from the ruck It's a good tactic sometimes but it can be very erratic. The hit outs were rarely to advantage but that more reflected the absence of Casey mids. He didn't have a specialist ruck as an opponent
  4. that last 5 minutes summarised our gameplan Lock it in our forward line for how many ball ups and they enter once and score Rinse and repeat
  5. for those who love umpires.. (just one week back) https://www.afl.com.au/news/2019-07-27/love-is-in-the-air-two-umpires-get-engaged-at-the-g But in a heart-warming reminder of the human side to the game, boundary umpire Dillon Tee proposed to field umpire Eleni Glouftsis in the middle of the MCG.
  6. Saints have never used Sandringham as a training ground. Not sure why but I suspect the ground is too small and has cricket obligations during summer. Sandringham were fiercely independent when we were aligned with them. It was a battle to develop our younger players.
  7. networking mate
  8. What an indictment of the coaching staff that they persist with the push up gameplan at VFL level. At best it teaches the players how to wrestle. How about a bit of skill development. Game is worse to watch on TV than at the ground and boy they have been poor spectacles in the main this year. Cannot be bothered with the second half. Out to catch some early afternoon sun
  9. disappointing quarter by casey after dominating the first 15 minutes for no score the two teams swapped goals until Zebras dominated kicking 3 goals in time on Zebras by 18 JKH and Stretch getting lots of ball but not damaging at all
  10. 8 inside 50's for no score.. sounds familiar Have not heard Weideman called.. is he playing?
  11. Sandringham are two spots below us on the ladder with one less win. It is a proverbial toss up With Preuss and Weideman playing we might win. No wind should make for a good game.
  12. Keeping Stretch also raises the issue of the 4 injured amigos... AVB, 2 Smiths and Stretch... can we afford as a list to have four NQR players who are injury prone. Add in KK and that's 5. Put's immediate strain on the list.
  13. we are road kill... if you watched the coverage last night we weren't even mentioned by the commentators as being a bump in the Tiger's run home.
  14. we barely did... it was on almost the last kick of the day
  15. nah... it's only three more and the alternative is a massive revenue loss
  16. isn't this the coach killer
  17. Is this an honourable loss ?
  18. and that's what worries me about this game and the last 3 or 4.... not much reason for hope in 2020 with this gameplan
  19. that's a coaching issue... and let's face it.. our guy ain't top drawer
  20. mmmmmmmmmm perhaps we are tired... no wait.. that was the 2017 excuse This year it's injuries is the buzz word and the year before the year before it was we were too young Goodwin needs to do something about Oliver... 2 touches in 40 minutes odd of football.. hello Coach
  21. Hard to appreciate that we now struggle against cellar dwellers... wait..... we are a cellar dweller
  22. what more can one say about this gameplan
  23. Oliver .. 6 handballs ... zero kicks why
  24. ssssh ... we are told we have a great coach
  25. how to go scoreless for 15
