COVID & AFL 2021
Saw a stat in the last few days for vaccine rates of the over 60 groups 60-70....around 60% 70 plus ... around 66% This is the group we should be ramping up the fear/encouragement process on A BBO shiraz for the second dose or perhaps being limited to Collingwood games for the unvaccinated.

CASEY DEMONS: Rd 12 vs UWS Giants
The following teams have a bye Aspley, Box Hill Hawks, Gold Coast Suns, Port Melbourne, Werribee, Williamstown A game against Port or Willy would be nice We do not play Port all year and are scheduled to play Willy in the second last round. MFC/Casey needs to make it happen. One game in 6 weeks is not good enough

COVID & AFL 2021
Didn't think they would have the required intestinal fortitude. Let's jab together !! ..... and enjoy next summer !! PS... notice that the indemnity scheme is through the GP system. None of the Premiers appear to have asked for a flow down to the mass vaccination centres

Melbourne to sell the Bentleigh Club
We knew it was coming. The future fund concept is a good idea.

COVID & AFL 2021
Go for it. The very rare risk is with the first jab. For the second jab TTS is almost unheard of on a worldwide or local basis. The change which would be nice but it's not going to happen is to be offered Pfizer/Moderna for the second dose. Increasingly overseas test are showing that AZ and Pfizer/Moderna is a powerful combo. An early German study suggests AZ+ Pfizer = 2 doses of Pfizer multiplied by 4 in the level of antibodies. The advice never changes however.. the best vaccine is the one that's available. As an aside China's planned production for covid vaccines this year exceeds 8 billion doses... just amazing

CASEY DEMONS: Rd 11 vs Essendon
question... with GWS and the Sydney lockdowns what's the chances of a VFL game for Casey next week? Doubt they brought the VFL team down with them. Perhaps the AFL/VFL could be inventive and allow some supp players from somewhere. Couldn't stand another practice hit out Perhaps a game against one of the Melbourne non aligned sides assuming they have a bye

CASEY DEMONS: Rd 11 vs Essendon
wouldn't mind seeing him played a little further down back as "Hibberd insurance". We know he is okay as "Langdon insurance". The forward deliveries after some of those long runs was a little disconcerting but that is system footy or should I say ....

hope the Eagles show the same form when we go over there what a thrashing

NON MFC: Rd 15 2021
Looking at the weather radar that should be the end of the rain Perth. They only had a few mms but it seemed to come at the start of the game. Could be a better second half from the Eagles

CASEY DEMONS: Rd 11 vs Essendon
do you think he would play better with a haircut like Weid's
-
CASEY DEMONS: Rd 11 vs Essendon
5:2 One was a gimme handball from AVB and he missed one he should have kicked. Weid missed at least 2 if not 3 and had one good snap for a goal

CASEY DEMONS: Rd 11 vs Essendon
didn't think I'd say it...but in the heat of September there might be a role for the body player like Vandenberg. Very good game today Bradtke down back was interesting. Didn't do too much but didn't make any mistakes. Cannot see any candidate to replace Hibberd next year if needed. May need to trade for that player. Baker is becoming good at this level.

one case in Perth and no crowds at the footy what can one say
-
CASEY DEMONS: Rd 11 vs Essendon
no.. injured this game.. he had a shot on goal in the first quarter other than that can't recall many touches
-
CASEY DEMONS: Rd 11 vs Essendon
way too slow on transition and going via the boundary line thus letting the backs crowd the Caey forward line. The goal to Brown was the first quick movement this quarter

POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs Essendon
when are we going to have an easy win Better than a loss though Lots to review from that game

Must agree... Saints rarely had clean possession but they managed to kick some goals. Makes you wonder about the surface. Have not seen so many unpressured fumbles for a while

TICKETING: Rd 15 vs Essendon
Meanwhile, Victoria’s public health assessment panel has told the AFL to spread out its fans as sporting crowds grow in the state. Chief Health Officer Professor Brett Sutton said the bunching of fans in certain sections, as occurred when Geelong hosted the Western Bulldogs at GMHBA Stadium, was not too risky but the league and other sports were told to spread out crowds. Took them a while.... https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/fixture-shuffle-swans-set-to-play-home-game-against-eagles-in-geelong-20210625-p5848h.html

Three infected hairdressers working in a Double Bay salon in Sydney. Around 900 clients impacted. Good luck Sydney

TEAMS: Rd 15 vs Essendon
not sure who's kicking the winning score wouldn't have been surprised if they used Mitch Brown to give them some firepower. He did kick a relative bag in the last VFL game against Geelong Anyway fingers crossed the Pies game was an aberration

NON MFC: Rd 15 2021
Agree Hate to say it but a Geelong win would be good for us. A Bulldogs loss is intriguing however.

What they're saying down at Windy Hill
Essington from Reddit.. Basically when we play really bad footy for a prolonged duration, we are referred to as Essington by our supporters. I believe it was an in joke that started on BomberBlitz during the Knights era.

Nice to see Thursday night football back. That Friday night fixture is underwhelming to say the least. Port v Swans, our game and Eagles v Dogs are all way better
