Daniher has arguably been the most disappointing player of the finals series. Naughton hasn't done much either so far.
-
Third quarter lost it for the Lions They dominated but very little on the scoreboard
-
speechless

Yep today was the first day of the NCAA season. Baseball playoffs in early October and then NFL All with full stadiums and not a mask to be seen. Not sure what will be happening for indoor sports like basketball and ice hockey

Of all the teams in the 8 you have to agree that as an opponent you couldn't ask for a better outcome. If it were Essendon Sydney or GWS they would have been on a hot streak riding an emotional wave. Dogs, Port and Brisbane are all strong on their day with Brisbane because of injuries the weakest. I'll take Geelong any day in a PF. Go Dees

The reported crowd last night was just over 44k. Certainly didn't look like that many but if there were I'm impressed by the Perth public's support

Ford factory at Campbellfield have Pfizer openings for next week for under 60's. Good luck

Bulldogs go in without a recognised ruckman again. Brisbane for mine

I thought Brown hit up marking on the HFF together with the way he played with Fritsch was pivotal to the win. Rivers (other than his first quarter blemish) was a great reader of the ball and provided repeat thrusts from half back. and someone has to miss out. TBH after Oliver and Petracca you could lay a blanket over another 10 or more players.
-
Rarely can I claim an early discovery but in this instance.......... Well done Mr Fritsch !!!
-
6. Oliver 5 Petracca 4 Lever 3 Fritsch 2 Rivers 1 Brown apologies to Gawn Brayshaw and a few others

Bomber Blitz will be great reading tonight. Dogs very lucky

The vision on the AFL site looks damning. He walked towards him... made no attempt to avoid him and then deliberately shouldered him out of the way The impact may have been slight but the action and the intent was clear. I love Toby as a player but tis was one step too far in our game.
-
Could Jesse H be getting his mojo back. Congrats to the AFL. A perfect example of what a clash jumper should be is the one being worn by the Giants. They have at least three jumpers as most teams should have.
-
Not exactly great compliance in the mask wearing department by the crowd last night assuming they were required.
-
strange game last night... Geelong key forwards miss several easy shots and Fantasia and Motlop kick seven odd goals between them. Hopefully Spargo and Harmes do the same for us tonight not to mention Daniher kicking 4 behinds.
-
Socceroos captain just announced he will not play in the upcoming qualifiers while the quarantine rules remain. Q. Would flying in 30 vaccinated and tested players to Sydney increase the national risk profile ?
-
one has to ask whether the season ever really started. Hopefully next year we can start before Round 4 of the AFL season. Would also like to see the interstate inclusions delayed until 2023.
-
If he's out of contract Collingwood do not have to offer any picks whatsoever. He goes into the PSD not the general draft.
-
he is out of contract and can therefore leave without being traded. He only needs to bypass North and several players have taken this route before. If Collingwood had finished say 13th the play would be far riskier for Collingwood
-
Collingwood ending 17th exposes us to the Weid walking without compo to Collingwood. The flipside is that their second round pick will be a high one.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARRISON PETTY
Diamond_Jim replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Thinking that Petty could be the answer to Weideman leaving (assuming he does) and if T Mac does not recover form. -
France and now Greece... Even Russia has exclusion rules The Greek government has announced that, as of next month, all indoor eateries, bars, clubs and entertainment venues will be off limits for citizens who have not been vaccinated against Covid-19. Other venues, including theatres, cinemas, museums and archaeological sites, will allow access to people who have not had the vaccine but only if they provide proof of a negative rapid test conducted within 48 hours. Rapid tests, which are currently free of charge, would cost €10 for all those who had not been vaccinated, he said. From September, workers in both the public and private sector who are not vaccinated will also be required to have at least one rapid test per week. Those employed in academia, tourism, restaurants, cafes, bars and other forms of entertainment, as well as school and university students, will be obliged to undergo rapid tests twice a week with only school pupils eligible for free tests. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/aug/24/greece-announces-bars-and-clubs-off-limits-for-unvaccinated

Let's hope the booster shots are better managed than the present roll out. India having difficulty jabbing more than 5M per day but with increased production over the next 3 months they may get that as high as 8M per day. https://www.indiatvnews.com/news/india/india-may-get-80-crore-covid19-vaccine-doses-by-december-728528 A crore =10M
