  1. We are also an undersized team. Recruiting tall timber with big bodies might help. By the way, Kent needs a spray, he is gutless.
  2. Yeah a couple more years, and then a couple more! Convince me to be positive although we have some young talent. Jones today for the second game at the G in the last 3 weeks butchered the ball. No wonder Goodwin is grooming Viney. Jones tough nut but garbage leader in a tight game.
  3. Rarely do I have a crack at umpires for our boggy performances, however Nichols today should be called out as pathetic and utterly error ridden. Actually he was worse than that and his bald head should be forced into a bucket of warm horse poo.
  4. MCG is not our home! No wonder the club has trouble getting a decent crowd of Dee's supporters to watch us at the G. This club and current group have served up its members rubbish at the G this year, and against teams in poor form. We started last year with a new club logo and some promotion of identity. This year at the G is boring and frankly tiresome watching the team. offield too we have gone quiet with marketing! When is this club going to make home games worth turning up to? I still think the club is trying to find what it stands for! The G once our proud home is no more relevant to team performance than it is at Traeger Park! This club raises hope one week then goes missing every other week. Such a bore of a club for such a long time.
  5. We are a club that promises so much but cannot deliver. MCG our home ground is no longer a place our club thrives. In fact I find going to the MCG to watch our club is rarely enjoyable. Our chance today to lift ourselves into top 8, yet again we are garbage every other week. predictably we cannot backup, and fail against teams in poor form. Its simply a same old story...different coach, different players, same garbage.
  6. Kent needs to pull his finger out! As for Omac and TMac has anyone ever seen a more clumsy pair of footballers at this level? It's embarrassing to watch TMac, his craft is abysmal ....how many years has been at this level? Captain turnover!
  7. We are a young developing team! Ahhhhh! We have been the young developing team for over a decade now. If I hear this again I will spew up! I'm still very angry after last week. Those losses will cost this club a seat in the top eight. Why is it always our young developing team. Huhh! Last time I looked TMac, Jones, Vince etc have done a few pre seasons between them. Anyway, season over after last week. Let's see tonight how much our young developing team gets touched up.
  8. I will put it simply for all those supporters who dream of success. The Melbourne Football Club onfield cannot be trusted, it cannot be trusted to get the job done when it is capable of doing so. This is this clubs biggest challenge for its supporters and the wider football community. Until the team realise this they will not be trusted. I have supported the club for over 40 years, I do not trust this club to do what is must. I want to trust them but I can't. When I turn up to the MCG to watch the demons I have no idea if they will win or not. That is a trust issue.
  9. I agree with Wallace! TMac has energy, can run, can intercept Mark, however he is not a smart footballer. His decision making is embarrassing and he is too slow to react. He has been smacked so far this year for a key back. I'm with Wallace....we need a key defender who can make decisions and can kick.
  10. The FD must spend this week focussing on their poxy possession game. It stinks, it's awful to watch and it costs us games.
  11. Well said! You have summed it up perfectly. Send this to the FD. for attention of Goodwin. Ask him to post it on every players locker. This club are famous for losing the easy ones. Lousy movie keeps getting replayed...brilliant!!
  12. Why? Bcos you say so? Fat chance! We should never have lost this one , nor the Fremantle game. It will cost us a position in the 8. Simply not acceptable now!
  13. Emotionally drained after this one. We have basically thrown in the towel for finals, plenty for the club to ponder yet again. the MFC wants to give its supporters hope, hmmm WTF does that actually mean? This team regardless of who gets picked get beaten up by teams who are in bad poor form. I ask myself why? I don't think they want it bad enough yet, and meanwhile as membership passes 40,000 for first time in history, this club will be scoffed at for falling over in winnable games. Its time within the walls of the MFC for serious discussion on recruiting leaders to our club. Leaders who can take the fight onfield instead of the trash we are served up year after year. This group now have extinguished any hope for finals based on these easy losses. It's simply bad football by this club. The club promises a lot but cannot deliver. I'm convinced now of the fact they cannot deliver. the MCG our once proud home now seems meaningless when turning up to watch the MFC. Bye bye 2017.
  14. No changes! This team will absolutely [censored] Adelaide.
  15. This club once again lets itself down and kiss finals goodbye. We lose again the ones we should not. This team is not mature enough. They will forever be a wannabe team. They got beaten by a more professional team. This happens too often and totally gutted.
  16. The GWS did not exist. Imagine how many teams would have more depth with quality players. Imagine how closer some teams would be to winning premierships. I could go on and on, however the AFL have done it and now many clubs will just have to watch this mob fly past them and win flags while supporter bases of foundation clubs are left behind frustrated. it is controversial but real! A few thousand supporters in Western Sydney will get to see their manufactured team with compromised drafts win flags while hundreds of thousands in the heartland of AFL put up with results of many Compromised drafts. screw the AFL and GWS!
  17. Yes we need players who will stand up in the dying minutes to inspire us to win. Where are they? Our backline still looks totally unorganised and frightful when the heat is on. Hibberd was great, but again TMac seems to poo himself and find himself out of position at crucial times. He is in the leadership group, about time he showed significant improvement in this area. Our young guys are travelling well, it's the guys who have been around for a few years who let us down in leadership. we just don't seem to have at this stage players who inspire and drag the group over the line. Actually losing Max was crucial not only for his ruck work, he is a good leader.
  18. This is a very good topic for many reasons, however the most important question needs to asked. Nathan Jones has been our Captain for a number of years, yet we are now rudderless unless Lewis is in the team to lead. Where does this leaves Jones, and the rest of the leadership group? I will tell you.....Jones has been a warrior in a sustained period of club disaster on field, and Jones in my opinion has proven to be a poor leader during periods when we needed composure to win games. If the club cannot win without Lewis's leadership - then the club is in strife. I love Jonesy as a player, but it's time others stepped up onfield to lead, otherwise we are stuffed. Lewis brings success, leadership and experience, but WTF are others doing? Jones and Viney need to step up and lead by example. Not just rely on Lewis to do it all.
  19. Yes this leadership situation is a farce at our club. We have not got it right since McDonald was skipper. Jones is a tough mid, but don't tell me he is a leader in a crisis, because he is NOT. As for Viney, that is looking like an absolute shocker of a decision. Yes we lost and we had injuries, but our rubbish leadership in the last 3 weeks has been deplorable. Get the leadership right and we move forward, Im sick of leaderless rubbish at this club.
  20. Kangaroos shocking in close games - learn nothing! Brad Scott must be looking down the barrel, he surely can't lose this many close games without coming under scrutiny.
  21. I watched him run around at Williamstown, body language and effort nothing like I've seen from him 2 years ago. Also seen him at training recently and again he looks off! Might just be his demeanour but I have my doubts. This kid should be up and about and in our best 22.
  22. Last week was a test and we failed it. I really get jacked off when interstate teams beat us on our supposed home ground. Actually the MCG is home only in name these days, we don't play any better there than most other places. Interstate teams have distinct Home ground advantage, with Victorian teams stuck with grounds that are home in name only. This group failed when they needed that win so much last week. The game against Toiges is totally unknown, who has a clue which Melbourne team will turn up? After last 2 weeks I will just turn up and watch them with absolutely no idea how they will perform and with zero expectations. thats what this club has ingrained in me over 30 years. Goodwin said at start of season MFC supporters win lose or draw will see the new Gamestyle and we will play with pressure etc etc....blah blah blah. As said I have stuff all expectations as I've heard and Seen it all before. A win is a bonus these days! By the way - What has happened to Brayshaw? Ripped it up in pre season , pick 3 in draft, and running around in magoos looking disinterested. WTF?
  23. I will get down on my knees and apologise profusely for been a very naughty boy. How dare I write a thread on this site without the permission of those self sworn elite who feel it's necessary to play headmaster. Let's change the rules to allow only the self righteous knobbers to start threads.
  24. I've given up trying to work out how much money I have spent in membership and merchandise over the years, but need, ess to say it would equal the purchase of a reasonable new car. I've invested much the same as about 30,000 other loyal supporters over the past decades. Good on each and every supporter who puts their money in the MFC tin. I can tolerate losses against the top sides but losses to sides we should win every season is now at breaking point. This club is famous for this stat and frankly we should be mature enough by now to get over this hurdle. If there is ever a reason to slag off at this club it is because of these games. As a club we need to grow up and stopped been locked in this child like time warp. they are the panic kings when under pressure and enough is enough. Peter Jackson was sitting there looking forlorn and must be wondering when the hell we will eliminate this panic from our in field culture. The club will stagnate under 40,000 members while this continues to happen.
