I love David Rodan as goal umpire. I love the wry grin when the Dees kick a goal. Also a lovely guy away from footy.

I have watched this about 150 times. One of the ultimate highlight goals in my opinion. I was also there that day and screamed so much I think I lost my voice for a few day. That whole link of play was magnificent to watch. ❤️💙

I heard from a relative of Oscars that he has been offered a two year contract with Freo and he currently making plans to pack up and move over there as we speak. I wish him all the best. Apparently he has been working his guts out at VFL level and has been rewarded.

After being at the B & F I love Stephen May that little bit more now. He was honestly gutted by the way our year ended and he definitely has some unfinished business next season. After the event was over he hung around for ages chatting to fans when the others players had already left for their after party. I loved talking to him and he is a genuinely top bloke who wears his heart on his sleeve.

I’ve just been told by my Pies supporter husband that this piece of scum just won the Darren Millane trophy for best clubman. Second year in a row. 🤮🤮

That is an excellent summary and I agree with everything you said. The night was fabulous. The players were generous with their time, happy to chat and the atmosphere was very upbeat. I had a good chat with Steven May. Told him his speech was hilarious and I thanked him for his stellar year. He was highly amused to hear I was married to a Collingwood supporter ( who was also with me on the night). All of our table had a great night and we plan to make it an annual event. I am pumped for 2024 now ❤️💙
