Non-MFC: Finals Week 03
Channel 7 is embarrassing.

Non-MFC: Finals Week 03
He’s a really good defender. Can come to the Dees any day.

Non-MFC: Finals Week 03
Umpires got sucked in by the crowd too much that quarter.

TMac & Brown
It’s not trolling to ask questions, but you’ve just been berating people for days who disagree with you. Why start a thread if your only intention is to come for anyone without the same opinion? Theres lots of us here who don’t always see eye to eye, but we generally find a way to do it that’s respectful.

Non-MFC: Finals Week 03
Today’s Age headline ‘The 3 Federer-like traits that separate Nick Daicos from the rest’. GWS really better be ready for his grass court backhand. Such nauseating garbage.

Jimmy Munro retires from VFL
Imagine lining up in the West Gippsland Footy League and having to take on the Moose? Massive loss for Casey. Heart and soul of that club.

Yze gets the Tigers Coaching Job
He’s waited a long time, and for a while this season I wondered if maybe his chance wasn’t going to come. Thrilled for him to get it.

Farewell Brodie Grundy
So given Sydney looks like a foregone conclusion what’s realistic to expect back? What did we pay in points value to get him?

Is our time at the top done?
Because the longer it goes on the more it becomes a ‘Premiership Door’ and the metaphors aren’t as eloquent. Can we start having a laugh yet? It’s been a long week.

HATCH MATCH & DESPATCH 2023
Both contracted, and without any suitors that means they stay on the list for another year.

Is our time at the top done?
Blake Howes, Disco Turner and Woewodin (both who you’ve seen) all look more than capable. AMW came on a bit towards the end of the season. Personally I rate Jefferson. It’s a huge jump in strength and lack of space playing against under 18’s to the VFL. He can mark and kick. I expect us to bring in experienced midfield depth to replace contest players Dunstan and Harmes, and to a lesser extent JJ.

Campbell Brown calls the Melbourne Football Club "fragile"
Totally. This place is very angry at the moment. There feels like a lot of venting, but not a lot of reading going on. I get it was super disappointing, but it’s also just a game of footy. We all want the same thing here. Shouting at each other isn’t going to make it happen. I’m excited for the draft and trade stuff to really kick off so we can get back to having some dialogue around here.

The 2023 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Tom Lynch could join TMac and BBB in the AFL’s most expensive forward line rehab group. We can’t take the risk on a bloke getting paid a million a year coming back from a bad foot injury. That’d be insanity.

Campbell Brown calls the Melbourne Football Club "fragile"
I’ll argue with you about this. Our game plan is literally built on resilience. Consistent contest win, bang it forward, stoppage. Go again. It’s actually the most resilient game plan in the AFL. It’s physically exhausting. At one stage we had 19 to 9 inside 50’s on Friday night in the last quarter. We kept going. Same story the week before. The one quality I reckon we need the most of is craft. Execute 2 more times a game going into 50, or in front of goal, and we’d win the flag this year. We are resilient. We aren’t executing. 👍

From the vault
That still remains, to me, the worst loss in our clubs history. I was 9, and got to see all 3 finals up close. Buckenara kicked from just in front of me and my dad. Its weird that this was 36 years ago, because I’ve only just turned 29 (again)🤔

Farewell James Jordon
Onya JJ. I hope you light up the place wherever you go.

How do players lose the skill of kicking straight?
100%. It’s all in the mind.

Cool light of day
In the cold light of day we are the sixth best team in the competition this year. I’m of the opinion that we are a top 4 side, with a top 4 list. We’ve underperformed for 2 seasons now. A preliminary final had to be a pass mark. To not make it there is a failure. We turned up in records numbers as members and supporters. I think it’s logical to feel really disappointed by the club. Obviously we all love them, but they let us down this year in my opinion.

Sliding doors - 2023
Jack Vineys kick to Weitering was the sliding door moment. He was out on his own, under no pressure, and completely coughed it up. I still can’t work out what happened.

Thank you Demonland
I always remember the poor bloke after the Essendon loss in 2013. I still see him quite often at games.
