  1. Oh that’s a ripping story. What a little legend!
  2. I think it’s rubbish that the demographics aren’t in 5 year brackets. 41-45 would make me feel heaps better than 41-50 does. This weekend sucks. ☹️
  3. Oh, but for some reason Sydney and Freo supporters don’t have Covid or the flu? Interesting.
  4. May would have played on Papley, and out marked him twice to stop 2 goals, and we win. He makes us a 3-4 goal better side. My issue is around the ball. Petracca has been ordinary for 2 months. He’s not chasing, and doesn’t have that explosiveness. He’s obviously been injured and then sick. If he’s down, and Jackson’s down, and Sparrow, ANB and Spargo aren’t clean enough it’s too much for Max and Clayton to carry. I don’t think we can bring in anyone to change us around the ball. We just need to look at our shape and our cleanliness. May for Tomlinson.
  5. As supporters there’s not a lot we can do - but there is one thing we can always do, and we don’t do it. This is the best Melbourne team 90% of us have ever seen, and for 2 weeks in a row we’ve been out cheered at our home ground by interstate supporters. Had we as supporters brought even the same intensity as North did against us at Docklands there’s no way umpires pay those contentious free kicks against us, and not pay us at least one of the 50’s in the third quarter to kick certain goals. That’s the game folks. We are far too nice, far too quick to make an excuse not to attend a game, and clearly en masse far too complacent thinking that memberships this year are for ‘grand final guaranteed’ tickets. Where’s the fans that brought the heat and noise in 2018? It’s really embarrassing, as it’s literally the only thing we can control. I bet the club internally is livid.
  6. I’m pretty disappointed that we haven’t been able to score for large periods of games for 2 weeks in a row. Im pretty disappointed that we don’t look clean around the stoppages, and that Jackson, Petracca, Sparrow and ANB aren’t clean when it counts. I’m pretty disappointed that we don’t make enough noise as a supporter group to put the umpires under the heat they cop at other games. No way are those 2 free kicks being paid in front of goal in Geelong, Adelaide, or at a Carlton game. Im genuinely pretty disappointed.
  7. If you legitimately think that the umps don’t want Sydney to win you aren’t watching the same game I am.
  8. Midfield not clean. Stepped up the pressure on Jackson and he hasn’t handled it well at all. Salem looks out of it. This is really interesting now. We get to see if we are up for the fight.
  9. How is that not a 50????? this is rigged
  10. Is it me or did the umps just get a little ‘involved’ in that last minute? No free kick to Viney, questionable mark?
  11. Especially because he was 4 at the time.
  12. Well whether or not you think they did the right thing is a whole other argument (which I agree with), but I’m more suggesting Geelong got what they wanted, and got very lucky to get it, and the Eagles made a list destroying decision.
  13. They turned a pick in the mid 20’s into the 2 best years of Kelly’s career, then traded him out at his most valuable which gave them the points to get Cameron. If Kelly wasn’t so highly rated at the time they’d never get Cameron. If Kelly was traded today they’d not get those points.
  14. Cameron ends up at Geelong because of Tim Kelly. That trade has killed The Eagles and blessed Geelong.
  15. Why the [censored] does BT have to comment on what’s clearly going to the tribunal? Insinuating that Toohey was acting. He’s such a blow hard. The game is better off without these boring dinosaurs who editorialise the game instead of simply commentating.
  16. Baz Smith will get 3 weeks for that. Stupid. Im thoroughly confused by the down field rule. The umpires are literally encouraging players to break the rules to slow play down. Talk about not understanding the game.
  17. Dogs fans going berserk at the umps. #irony
  18. Dogs not getting the favourable decisions. They must be so confused!
  19. That’s a great point. JJ in particular suffered a fair few set backs. It doesn’t matter how you get there, just that you are ready when you do. Pick 22 in the draft suggests he’s got what it takes.
  20. The revenue in video advertising is considerably better, and the content itself can stretch across to different channels more effectively - specifically those aimed at growing the game. It’s a good point though. It’s not enough to just be a former player, you have to be able to present the information with passion and interest.
  21. Not messing about there. Interesting if Bedford is the sub ahead of Rivers, and Mitch Brown is the tall emergency.
  22. I genuinely think May is our most important player - because of the risks he allows us to take at stoppages to blow a game open. I also love that he’s filthy on literally every goal that gets scored against us. We could be 80 points up with 2 minutes to play and he’ll give Hunty or Riv a spray if he doesn’t think they were in the best spot to stop the goal. You’d love/hate playing with him.
