  1. What I'm getting at is they don't have the legs for the new game plan...good teams will pick them apart. When the pressure came on they stated reverting to the old as you say. ...and whilst old news, it still seems to be new to Brian and his team of commentators along with many other experts. I wonder what excuse Scott has this week for a poor performance? it's obvious Danger, Hawk & co must have had the flu again
  2. Their stars have old legs...they will beat up lesser teams but struggle against good teams. Selwood is still good when around the ball and he uses it really well, the trouble is he can't get to enough contests when the ball is moving around quickly. Gone on a year too long... ....and he's not on his own.
  3. ...but Geelong are old.
  4. They look good but a bit early to go with genuine...
  5. I guess they're on the reality bus....
  6. I'm wondering if/when he's going to apologise. Bevo read out a statement but has he spoken to Tom and apologised. If not, then he hasn't apologised at all.
  7. Apart from us I would think that's about right. Let's see how they back it up. Saints were rubbish so hard to assess Collingwood but they did look good.
  8. Both teams very average... I think Ratten is in trouble if they keep dishing up this rubbish and I can't see how they won't with that list. They needed to do a proper rebuild but got way ahead of themselves when bringing in the likes of Hill. Did we ever get the right Freo wingman. Expect a Grant Thomas challenge and the s to hit the fan at some stage of the season.
  9. Good to have you back 'joeboy'...
  10. I'm not a Morris fan at all but he didn't back down...good for him.
  11. rjay replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think Cerra went to Carlton...
  12. Depends how often he gets on the ground...the end comes fast at his age.
  13. Ha ha, duckin Danger...nearly got away with it but one of the umps was awake.
  14. They have quickly become my most despised team in the AFL.
  15. Hawkins his usual whinging self and no 50....
  16. Spot on 'sue', the player could be annoyed at himself for giving away a stupid free kick.
  17. Yep, we were chasing Merritt and Cerra for a reason...our top 2/3 are as good as it gets but the FD identified the need for a class mid.
  18. 'Mach', hasn't spread any rumours. Just says he knows some things that he won't pass on. Would love to know what it's about but in the end it's his know and his to pass on... or not.
  19. I would be looking at a team on the way up if I were her. I think the Cats will drop off. The Bombers would probably be the one. Carlton, dodgy board but should be moving the right way this year. If they don't then who knows what will happen. Saints will be in for a rebuild and board spill if they fail this year, they've gone about it the wrong way again. If she was up for a move interstate then a package deal with Clarko to the Suns might be interesting. Freo would be a good one, Sydney... You're right, there isn't a lot on offer.
  20. I think she could pick a better environment than Geelong...
  21. Malthouse also predicted Scully to be the next Judd. How did that go for him?
  22. Imagine we're right in the middle of the Aussie Pub Rock scene, mid 70's Australia. At one of the great beer barns the Mathew Flinders Hotel. ...and in drops these guys. The reaction was very mixed to say the least (something about horses hoofs) but I loved them the moment they started playing. It was so different visually as well as musically. Of course the dance floor was empty so Tim & Noel used the space to do that crazy dance they used to do, kind of a frenetic version of the skinhead dance. I may have posted this before but am having a bit of an 'Enz binge after checking out 'Forenzics'...
  23. ...and to think of those on here who wanted to drop him during the season 'dazz'.
  24. Yep, probably some kind of jarring through the kicking leg. As you say, lucky it wasn't the planted leg,
  25. My take on the Salem injury...the camera work is not great but after having a few looks on the Kayo replay (and this is what i thought live), the North player came in low to smother and took him somewhere around the shin area. Salem was kicking the ball and in the action came over the top of the North player. So, he might have a bruised shin or if any knee damage likely to be bruising there. There didn't appear to be any twisting or the knee, could also be an upper ankle type problem. Lets hope it's just a little bruising...please.
