I grew up in that era too 'Bob', but we don't live there now. It shouldn't be too much to expect some decent pix at least. We are spoiled with the quality 'Six6Six' posts but in reality the club should be able to post similar from the camp. Is it too much to ask?

If we're talking Smith here 'bin', I think we're in trouble if he plays most games. Like Frost I think the athleticism he offers is often undone by poor decision making.

This has the Hardie logic about it. The only reason we wouldn't sign Bennell is if he can't get on the track... Port have so much money they had to rattle the tin to keep on the park. Can just see them shelling out for a player that can't get on the track and doesn't ever look like it (if we weren't to sign him)... ...but I guess stranger things have happened.

Interesting you mention Charlie and the Divinyls. Jerome Smith, who 'Biffen' mentioned...took over the touring bass role with Keiths band the x-pensive winos... Jerome came here to play with the Divinyls in the early '90's around the same time Charlie joined the band. He still lives in Melbourne... Back to the footy...

Toured with Wino's...don't think he did the records. ...and he's still around '@Biffen', ran into him recently.

What a load of rubbish... He did his ACL at training, nothing to do with basketball. He's not responding to chatter, he was not a plodder... He had a good year last year and we expect he will build on it this year. He's a kid now man who has not been happy with his own game to date, he reckons he can play better footy and he's taken the initiative to make it happen. I don't know where you're getting all this responding to chatter, much needed push. He's a proud kid, now man and he wants to do better.

Just noticed you wrote Eddie, I thought it was Eade when I read it before. I guess that was wishful thinking, it would have made interesting viewing. Dumb down Eddie, not so interesting...in fact not interesting at all.

They need an ex coach who hasn't checked out to take the position if they are serious...can't be just an ex players view as they don't have the whole picture. Wallace would be my first choice but I think he's headed towards retirement. Please not Nick...

So, who were all these outside player/finishers we were chasing. Since Goodwin has been in charge we've gone after Lever & May...and landed them. This year we went after Langdon and landed him. We had a dip at Elliot and missed, we picked up Tomlinson. None of these are outside player/finisher types. Langdon & Tomlinson give us some outside run no doubt but they are both, particularly Langdon very hard contested players as well. Then if we look at this years draft all 3 are hard at it competitive players.... The coach doesn't like purely outside players, I'm with him there.

'Mach' isn't a grenade thrower 'Pennant' and his info is generally pretty good. I would take some notice of what he is saying in this instance...maybe the source has an axe to grind, this must always be considered in these things but the messenger is ok.

So if you don't think he has the ability to succeed why would any full time recruiting/list manager at another club part with picks that will get us back into the first round of this years draft... ...not a cheap shot, it just doesn't add up.

He will probably play off half back and maybe have a run in the mids at times...this also opens up the forgotten man, Salem to do more or more of the same...

I think we will see Jackson running through the midfield at times this year...

You tell Carl he's not playing 'La Dee'.... Personally I would play him off the bench to clean up any issues we may have with opposition players.
