I hope the rest who are going to be delisted already know and have there managers scouting for other gigs. I have a feeling the MFC has already told those players who they are going to get rid of so the players managers can go out and try find other interested clubs, rather then not telling the players, then delisting them when its to late to trade. We may get some value out of players we didn't expect to. Indirectly organising trades already for our rejects, well played MFC.

im loving it how our rejects are taking the initiative and shopping themselves out. going to make it a hell of a lot easier if they do all the leg work to organise a trade for us. Will get the ball rolling early to. If we get a draft pick for Petterd then we ll have the whole trade period to possibly turn that pick into something.

Honestly who cares who gets the flick, we are basically the worst team with the worst list. It cant get any worse then it was this year, if 25 players go, I am quite confident that the 25 who replace them will give us more of a chance to win games then we currently have been. Why hold onto players who put us 16th on the ladder. Flush them out

I personally think Brent and his bully antics attributed to our teams poor culture. Imagine having someone pointing and yelling at u at work all day. We have not been a successful side at all since he has been a part of the MFC and I don't think that its a coincidence. Hopefully now his gone things can change for the better.

I find it interesting that we didn't even wait to see what he was being offered to consider matching it. This is as blunt as anything. Next best thing to being delisted..

We payed pick 11 for him, in my opinion the deal wont get done as i would not accept anything less then a 1st rounder

I brought Aaron into this as I don't think he seems to be doing a good job as an ambassador/mentor for the indigenous players. He has this role and he obviously is not doing it well to have 3 players walk out in a year. Whats the point of this role if he is unable to even keep communication lines open between them and the club? If a player is homesick like Kel then why did he need to walk out on the club rather then have a proper exit? We have seen recently the dees want to exit players properly. This was not the case with Kel and the only conclusion I can come to is that the MFC were not completely aware of his situation.

The reason people are bringing up Davey is because he is meant to be the mentor of the indigenous players at Melbourne. He is meant to look out for them and communicate with them. Ensure they are happy at the club and if they are not that the club knows about this so that they can try to cater for the players. 3 walkouts in the last 12 months.......surely he ain't doing the best job. All he has left to mentor is a kid with a broken leg who is going to be delisted.
