Your post is also hilarious. I think most people would be happy with the win & spread from the players, hardness etc. But I think you will find that most people would also be still a bit worried on our skill areas. Not once have I read by anyone on here that Bate/Dunn are the new Selwood/Bartel however it is also good to see them improving. As for the rest of your post, yes it was GWS but we did beat Essendon and outscored Collingwood 83-74 after giving them a 55-4 head start, so thats what I'm going to judge our improvement on, not this game. Wake up.

Neelds press conference from yesterday. You may be able to hear it better.
-
Yes he was, he has talent. People have bagged him this year but he's done very well considering how many times hes had limited game time. Also hits targets as you say and brings a real aggression to the side, always trying.
-
Did I hear wrong... Bad internet connection at work but I think I heard that the players presented to the coaches with a style/gameplan that they wanted to play. Sounds like Neeld has run with it a bit as long as they keep the non-negotiable structures going. This might explain a better style of ball movement/spread the last few weeks than earlier in the year, which was just awful. Correct me if I'm wrong as I only heard glimpses but sounded interesting anyway and certainly makes sense. Hats off to Neeld for listening to the players when things werent going too well.

Have a nice flight back to Blacktown Tom ...

Not sure if this post was directed to me but I think you will find I asked a question first, then backed it up by saying when I played the game we only shook the hand of the opponents we played on whereas these days times have changed. Nothing wrong with that, let it go, we won!!! -

Um... No fistfight. And Im certainly sure I moved on long ago, well before a lot of others. It is ok to ask questions. Now you move on. -
Pick 12 or pick 12 + player. Do not give up pick 4 for Beams. That would leave say 3. Viney, 4. Toumpas?, 12. Beams. Plus I also think a fit Gysberts is our best mid coming through.

I was thinking this a couple of months back. He's been thinking this for a while now. Although for $1M a year, he seems the type that wouldn't give a stuff either! More of a reflection of himself than anything. Im so bloody happy he's gone, soooo happy! -

Did many players shake his hand after the game or be friendly with him??? I missed it. PS. When I played I only used to shake the hand of my opponent for the majority of the day - its got ridiculous all the handshakes these days. As for Tom, how do you feel now you slime bag?! -
Sloppy footy but at least we're leading. Our disposal still worries me as does these players input. Davey 6 - Looks lost, some shocker handballs Magner 7 - Reminds me of an old Jones, butchers it, looks tired. Trengove 8 - Need more from him, slow. Moloney 9 - No influence, need more from our no.1 mid. Not good enough. Very pleased with Tom McDonald today.
-
Why is our disposal still soooo bad after all these years!!!!!
-
Or this one. Moloney $5.50 for most disposals. Pretty good bet considering he's a flat track bully!!! Get on it.

Great insight on the ground, interesting. Thanks

I noticed Lucas Cook had 6-7 touches in the first quarter. How is he playing today? Is he clunking a few grabs?

FWIW I think Robinson is the worst person in media, just blabbers on and can never spit his words out. I hate listening to him on AFL360. He drives me! Tries to get passionate and really doesn't have a clue.

I said in another thread i really hope to see Couch, Tynan, Taggert, Cook, Davis, Sheahan, Fitzpatrick, and the Gys back. Get this game out of the way and play some kids. I think these boys really do have some potential. I really hope we wont lose this weekend....please tell me we wont!!!
-
I did have a chuckle. Surely we cant stuff it up this time!!! I will go and hide for the rest of my life otherwise! Who would you pick up at #4 Jose???
-
Silly comment. Yes I have and I like what I see. Hes more of a natural forward than Watts and loves an overhead mark. He will be playing at the top level some time next year, no questions there.
-
Maybe it's so young Sammy can spend some time with GWS to suss things out while the Dee's are playing........
-
I kinda hope that after we get this game out of the way we play the kids for the rest of the year so we can have a look at how they go in the real stuff, just a learning program, even if its 4 games each staggered around. I'd love to see Couch, Cook, Davis, Gysberts, Sheahan, Taggert, Fitzpatrick, Strauss, Josh Tynan, I believe that we have some real talent in these players, just hope they get a go.
-
Patton & Cameron look bloody good. Get in their ears, hope they get homesick!
-
If I was to pick Boak up, which I wouldnt, I would offer #12 at best. Surely theres better mids around we could pick up at #12 than Boak? Anyone? Maybe that pick might be a beauty in the draft....
-
Ok. Here goes. This is what Im saying. 1. I know Cloke is a free agent and I wasnt wanting to trade any of those players for him. I have faith in those players' development. 2. I don't really want Cloke as I think Clark can definetley fill this role. Question was Cloke or Boak - I said Lucas Cook (I still reckon he will be very good) 3. I don't think Cloke is worth the ridiculous money, I'd rather hang onto it for a star later on when or if we challenge Preferably a star mid. 4. Cloke would most likely look silly with our delivery to him! 5. I think we would be better at seeing what we have spent our money and development on before a big decision like this ie; Cook, Watts, Sheahan, Davis, McDonald, Fitzpatrick, Martin, maybe even Garland or who knows Leigh Williams....Not forgetting that we may not be challenging for another 2 years...if that was the case Id rather spend the money on a homesick Patton or Cameron maybe? By all means if you think we need Cloke straight away and want to throw money at him thats cool, but I wouldnt. Id rather see a Patton or Cameron when we are about to launch an assault If Misson can get Gys & Taggert (who looks real good) out of the sick bay, we will have a much stronger midfield...and.... As for Viney and say #4, #12.... I think we will get it right this time, I'm excited.
