As i said i was happy to see the back of morton despite the compo. Gys personifies talent not working hard enough, the new recruits are designed to get our talent to work harder. Not sure 4th rnd draftees will have more impact next year than a rejuvinated gys could have

Bad trade...pederson will be serviceable for the next 2years and then be moved on again. we will just have too many talls ahead of him. gys could have been a long term player. very very short sighted this trade.

Its my understanding that he is still contracted so without a trade it would be nonsensical to get rid him if this is the case

In the article it mentions that he still limps a bit from the broken leg... This raises massive question marks on his long term viability. I think he is going to slide MASSIVELY, and will be a huge bargain in the 2nd round for whoever gets him as long as his leg holds up I would rather take the punt on menzel if talented forwards with leg issues is on the agenda

I hope he stays...great competitor, rarely loses 1v1 but his disposal lets him down something shocking. If he can start hitting targets he could be very useful down back
