Was listening to the radio this morning and they were talking about the possibility of Brisbane getting a priority pick. Eddie was saying: Brisbane should not get a priority pick, they got one last year in the form of dayne beams. Agreed with the first part but that second part just sounds to me like he has his ass he can't see daylight. Pretty sure Collingwood were more than fairly compensated for Beams. 1. I can assure you that many people living in Collingwood do actually go for Collingwood 2. Hawks/Box Hill alllignment seems to work Instead of creating a reserves team, how about we use the money you magically think we have to develop the Casey team. Surely it would cost less for us to make a Casey team competitive than to create our own reserves side along with a new stadium. We got him under a rule that allowed GWS to trade picks from a mini draft. This mini draft was for players that were still 17 at the end December 31 but hat a birthday between 1/1 till 30/4, Ie. they would've been allowed in the draft in 2008 but after that players of the same age weren't. When we traded it was understood he was not allowed to play matches this year. Hogan has finished school and will play for Casey all year (injury permitting)

Yes any of us can make stuff up and put it in print, but I doubt anyone believes it. Most stories that newspaper cover are true and have a certain degree of research more than what you and I know would know. If you think about that is the club's fault. I think by the end most of us knew that Moloney's compensation would be negated by acquiring Byrnes. We should have done what Port Adelaide have done and actually thought about it and decided to trade for Byrnes instead of using free agency.
