What does watts have to do now that he is dropped? What are peoples thoughts on what coaching staff are asking of him in terms of a role? Is it a running wing/flank? Is it a lead up foward? A third tall? Watts is one of my favorites and I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts? I'd make him study tapes of Jack Gunston.

Tiitus O'Reilly's Knee Jerk Reaction - Round 1
Josh replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Essendon set out to achieve the rare ‘have 34 players cleared by a tribunal then win on the weekend’ double. Not since Richmond showed up to watch the 2014 Preliminary Final, had Adelaide Oval seen an effort like North’s. They (North Melbourne) just have some work to do on their skills, offence, defence, stoppages, tackling and effort. Minor things really. Some really good stuff in there -
No let them win, we will coast along under the radar and win the first 3. No miracles just solid footy

HOW GOOD IS THAT! Still a lot to work on but they stood up when they needed too. Kent is a tough hombre with a big future Great start

I miss my game day rituals, normally finish at the royal though, my wife loves it more than me. I'm a lucky man

Awesome idea. I've seen a Collingwood and Richmond version I'm sure, perhaps the club may get behind you in some small way? Weekly break down of each senior and Casey game, a look at next week, any relevant news and training reports. I'll be subscribing for sure, top effort! Maybe a look at any demons super coach relevance?

I grew up following Essendon because mum did. At the end of 99 I was nearly 12 and dad said I didn't have to follow essendon just cos mum did, I could choose anyone I wanted (he is Collingwood I think he was trying to convert me) so I choose the mighty red and blue because I liked the colours. The rest is history. -
I thought they could only take 2 players per club that they are playing at now. So only 2 Frankston players or 2 Peel players, does that make sense, so they can't take 5 guns from one club and completely ruin their season

This is so true, especially about Watts. He is good over head and has pace over short distance to burn. If we can move QUICKLY either out of defence or from a stoppage and get the ball in his hands 80m out Hogan and Dawes and co will be licking their lips

Is this a role for Bernie Vince?

Talking point: The most important position on the ground
Josh replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Is there an argument for the half back line? If you can not only spoil an attack by the opposition but regain possession and mount an attack there is a lot of weight for a marking CHB and a running rebounding half back. Also a utility, a true utility. Thinking of Hird, Goodes Roughy and Hodge in their day you could play them wherever you were bleeding full forward full back on the ball, literally anywhere including ruck for Roughy and Goodes. -
Who is shaping as a surprise packet for Melbourne in 2015?

Over 100 and no mention of Col Sylvia, surely this is his year. -
I agree. Pendlebury just seems to have so much time and therefore always seems to make the right decision. I think this is what makes a good player a great player, decision making. Tyson also seems to have a lot of time all he needs now is to make better decisions. As for most important there is none more important to this club than Hogan but its unfair to ask that much so early. The other is Jones, heart and soul of this team and club in every way and totally irreplaceable.
