  1. What's the record for a season ?
  2. That is truly phenomenal and look out once we convert that to scores from stopages more effectively. I rekon another club could offer 2 mil a year I've 10 years and he'd laugh too, seems to absolutely love this place which is great
  3. Oliver Petracca Brayshaw Tyson Viney Gawn Hunt Kent 2xMcDonald Frost Weideman Hogan Kennedy Bugg Melkshem Watts Harmes Stretch... Hard to stop, impressive young men. Here we cum (sic)
  4. Perfect, Gawn clearly BOG but outside of that a team effort, that is how we win games. That is why we will put another cup in the cabinet
  5. We have as much chance of getting Rance or Hurley as the Aussies cricketers do this afternoon. We already have an all Australian defender on our list, let's sign him
  6. Gawn, Petracca, Oliver, Brayshaw, Viney, Tyson, Hogan and Weideman... Is Gawn the oldest at 24? If you look back through old posts there is plenty of talk about McLean Watts Cook Gusberts Sylvia but geez I'm not even gonna say it, don't wanna put the moz on em I'll just leave this here and check back on this post in 4 years
  7. He'd be pretty stiff not to get picked up.
  8. No he isn't very good at either, but neither was Jack Watts 3 years ago. I just think we could find a place and do worse than have him as a back up in the VFL. I would take Vickery over either of our Kings
  9. Am I the only one who sees something in Vickery? Maybe it's the Foward/Ruck (in that order) I'm in love with
  10. I'd have thought both would stay at least another 12 months for, dare I say it, Hogan leaving insurance? Big blokes don't grow on trees
  11. Found a way to win, when was the last time someone said that about us. It's improving
  12. Couldn't agree more, Vickery is another. Tippet would be perfect but players like that don't grow on trees. I think we need a foward who can ruck. Dawes can't/won't and Watts is being serviceable but not the answer. Either Huttlet or go shopping
  13. That's a bit too unfair. Adelaide are a 4 goal better team than us this year and in the form they are in at the moment probably double that. We have a chance yes but it would be a major upset. Whilst a finals berth wasn't out of the equation this year (and technically still isn't) we would only make up numbers. It would be some valuable experience for our boys to play finals but IMHO I think we are one, maybe even 2 years early. Once Hogan Petracca Oliver Brayshaw and Gawn are in the 50-100 game bracket is when we can start getting disappointed. But I think the corner has been turned.
  14. Agreed, they are as much chance to trade Weitering as we are of packaging Hogan Petracca and Oliver for Dawson
  15. Was hoping St Kilda had it stolen the same way they stole one from us but can't help barrack for the underdog [censored] Geelong
  16. He is an athlete not a footballer, even if he didn't sign a contract no thanks
  17. Don't forget Dean Kent, you can't look sideways at a red and blue jumper without him giving you a bit of what for. Deffinatley a bit of that 'arrogant' Hawthorn streak in what we are building, the playing group drew a line in the sand somewhere and won't be pushed around anymore We started this game and over the next few years I hope we remind people why. GWS are a worry though...

    Elite Status

For me it's about midfield rotations and forwards. In a few year's Gawn Petracca Brayshaw and Oliver start in the middle has the potential to be A+ but what separates the good teams from the great teams is the rotations and Viney Tyson and Salem could be just as good, happy days. Hogan and Weideman (hasn't played a game I know) potentially could be enough. Im not convinced you need All Australian backman, perhaps back flankers which I think we lack but thats where 2 or 3 of your resting midsnline up, for me mids and forwards are where the game is won and lost. Our only problem now is (apart from Viney) this is all still "potentially" elite
  19. Forget All Australian, the beard is still building, 8 tackles and 6 clearances in the pizzing rain at 208cm!?! He is getting better as the year progresses, get your hard earned on the nose for a CHARLIE before his odds shorten
  20. Get around them, Gawn and Viney to show why they are the number 1 combination in the league and Hogan to prove he is worth a 10 year contract Dee's by 7
