Return to Glory replied to The Song Formerly Known As's topic in Melbourne Demons
Any guessing as to the tone CW will adopt tonight? -

most of the problems are our own doing. I'm just saying that they will offer no solutions, only grief. Yes, grant you, some more than others ie Venom is a whole different species compared to Robbo. -

Well, the opportunity is there for The President to really stand up. Agreed. But I also don't want Caroline Wilson intervening on behalf of my club. -

RR, when an addict seeks a cure he does so in the hope that the person he has gone to will help. The media will not help. It will hinder, and several will relish the opportunity to do so. It's about standing up to them. We hate Eddie Everywhere but I'll tell you what, he defends his club to almost ridiculous levels. -

We know there's a problem. I'm just saying lets not lie down and accept their constant bile and say its constructive criticism. I say it's BS. How hard is it to understand that many of the media want a story of disaster and woe. It's got nothing to do with helping us move forward. To the contrary -
WJ, I am aware of Taggerts back injury. It's a shame because he really can use the ball well from the limited amount I've seen,

I looked on Bomber Blitz at the height of their woes and they wanted to lynch the media, calling for boycotts and generally slagging them off. They were defending their boys to the hilt. Why, FFS then do we as a club cower from them or proclaim " don't shoot the messenger". What crap. This is where you defend our club, not tell us that Venom Denham and his ilk may have a point. Attack, attack, attack. F##k em. You can be sure that they want to do the same to us. -
Taggert is solid, Gawns a big unit. I take your point but we do let them languish for far too long.
-
Both need to be given a shot. What are we waiting for? If we're going to get beaten, let's see what all of the kids can do. That includes Taggert and Tynan. Don't tell me Taggart couldn't do what A couple of them are dishing out. Or should we just leave them in Casey to lose all confidence.

He looks like Michael Douglas in Falling Down

AN EMBARRASSMENT TO THE AFL - Patrick Smith

And more often than not, they're wrong. My issue is their motivation which seems to be to hype as much drama and disaster as possible. Yes, we aren't helping our cause but TC's like manna from heaven for these blokes. -
Not to mention make the Gillette Ad a little crap.

It will be about Garry and he'll offer no real solutions and invariably be a series of cliches that distance him from events. Be great if I was wrong. -

Lets not forget that supporters here, whilst often having wildly differing views, all want the club to succeed. This bottom feeder does not. Pays to remember that before you buy in. -

It's dead easy to disagree with the motivation though and therin lies the rub. what he says as opposed to why he says it. Shouldn't be allowed the oxygen to peddle his bile IMO. -
Too easy for posters to say ' no good'. It's a flippancy based on lack of compassion and knowledge. But hey, it's a forum.
-
For me, with all the talk about system/ accountability, why can we not even get a player loose from the kick out? It's comedy capers down there. Where is the run? When we played Port they'd spot up a bloke outside 50. We dream of that. Sorry, there's a couple in there.

My apologies, that was Jaded.

No, your initial summary was terrible player. By your fourth post he'll be Brownlow favourite.

So what does he want? Melbourne out of the competition? Let us never forget that he thrives on the misfortune of others and the worse it is, the more he like it. Scum. Utter scum. Adds no value to the competition other than to make supporters anxious, serves no purpose. Don't forget the massive hyperbole he attached to the Essendon Drug scandal. Where that one ends no one can be sure, but he was desperate for Hird to go and to treat the club as guilty before trial. -
Half the team has the flu? Rumour...
Return to Glory replied to Norm Smith's Curse's topic in Melbourne Demons
Great news though. Steve Dank has a cure for it. 30 quick jabs offsite and right as rain. -
So that's your summary of his career? Geeeezz

I love this club. Win lose or draw there it doesn't get much better than walking across to the MCG knowing that I'm watching the oldest club in Australia, that I'm going to sit in the most famous stadium in Australia and that, on current form, I'm going to have great bar access when we play interstate clubs. Go Dees!

Roost it, 'players like Dunn' are in every club and thrive or struggle according to the environment.

He is not a terrible player Jaded. Certainly the equal of Petterd and he's (Petterd) about to make us look silly...and good luck to him. That is a huge call and IMO a poor one. He's a player who has been played out of position time and time again and, probably like others wondering where he fits in.
