Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
Return to Glory replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
I didn't see Fishermans Friends on the list. -
His good form at Casey was up forward. Much prefer him playing high with the occasional run on the ball. Brings good forward pressure as well.
-
The other thing I noticed is that he tries to get everything just right when kicking out of defense and sometimes it's a game of get it out of there quickly.
-
Stuie, I can't help thinking he's being played out of position. He's not an in and under player. He's a great kick who we play too deep in defense.
-
He was very poor today. In fairness to him, when he is poor no one misses him. If, say, a Tapscott is poor its no biggy as he doesn't stand out.
-
Absolutely love him. Love his self belief, even when there were doubters of which I was one early days. A great example as to how to get the most out of yourself through bloody hard work.
-
One of the things we could work on is not kicking up and under to a contest. Happened way to much today.
-
Stuie, I think sometimes Tv doesn't allow you to look at all efforts across the ground. Whatever the case, i was there today and it was actually quite sad. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think he will be even a serviceable player for us. He plays like he's got the weight of the world on his shoulders. And he probably has. I wonder whether he could play off a wing.
-
I do think Viney is playing hurt though.
-
Are you serious? I was there today and he was directly responsible for 3 goals in the first half through indecision.
-
I came away thinking Watts is the worst number one draft pick in 20 years. And I really don't think he gives a stuff.
-
He was shameful today. Does not run to back up and there are no 1 percenters. Frawley was just as bad and needs to spend less time pointing at people and more time getting the ball.
-
Just got back. Great to have a win.....in spite of Watts and Frawley who were both insipid.
-
I agree with you right up to the bit about Neil Balme. In my view the football played under him was the worst of seen since, well, now. There were passages of play where we would handball from the centre line to the back pocket only to have it intercepted for a goal...on many occasions. He was no coach.

We are a Train Wreck! How much more can Members/Supporters Take
Return to Glory replied to dees64's topic in Melbourne Demons
So true Biffen. Imagine if some of these blokes followed teams other than Celtic or Rangers in the Scottish League. It is what it is and come along for the ride or find a safe club that can grant you some fake glory. Didn't know about the Afghan boys coming along tomorrow. Brilliant. Maybe some of our disgruntled supporters can bend their ear with stories of real hardship. -
What will the next scandal/rumor be?
Return to Glory replied to Courtney_Fish's topic in Melbourne Demons
Melbourne to redraft Cook and Morton in exchange for our priority pick. -
Why go to BomberBlitz for some scandal when we can get it right here folks. I just don't know if I can go to work tomorrow.
-
You couldn't make this shite up.
-
I initially thought AFL's very own George Hamilton. But it's the successor no Biffen?
-
If you were an 18 yr old and were offered the obscene amount of money he was, including putting your phat Dad on the payroll, you'd jump. My anger has always been directed at the AFL on this one. They manufactured the environment and its had implications for all clubs since.
-
And whilst you're at it, why don't you ban Barrass and anybody associated with the Cordners. He's not the bloody anti Christ. You may want to purchase some perspective. He was a servant to the club. I'm not wrapped in him ATM but Geeezzz.
-
Trouble is, they're run by half wits.
-
On sporting books, just dug out "Knights in Muddy Armour". Bloody star. Sorry, little off topic.

That has collectible item written all over it
