Let's not forget that there is nothing stopping them from doing exactly the same year after year. Players retire from all clubs every year but talk about having the luxury to trade in a superstar every year. Not bad.

The competition is rapidly becoming two tier. IMO, never before has there been such a divide between the haves and have nots. There are at least 4 teams that may never win a Premiership in my lifetime. Eventually, people will become disenfranchised with the AFL and there will be big clubs and corporates. Worrying.

Spot on Belzebubsy, the AFL caves in to pressure regarding our priority pick and yet there's always some small print available to GWS that enables them to squeeze another top liner into their team. Can you imagine the All Star line up they'll have by 2016. Sure, no one in Western Sydney will give a flying flock about them but we will be force fed a diet of what a great achievement it is.

Fyfe is the one player that I would throw the kitchen sink at in order to get him. I'm talking first, second and third round picks and without a moments hesitation. Very few players have the capacity to change a football team's immediate future but he is one of them.

There is no way that Freo would trade a young champion. IMO he has the potential to be the most influential player in the AFL. Absolute gun. Staggered he couldn't get All Australian.

I think it's brilliant that Roos has said that he doesn't want to cop an unfair whack. It goes to the heart of being a club that stands up for itself. Biffen, looking at the Freo Swans game last weekend, I'm inclined to think our biggest problem may be the capacity to keep it in the forward 50 rather than it being run out easily because of too many talls.
