I've just found out that my daughter can read an AFL ladder. 'Why are Demons down the bottom?' 'Typo sweetheart '
-

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
Return to Glory replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
As one of the Olympians observed, this has as much to do about revenue as anything else. And I wonder how much the AFL has muddied the waters to ensure prosecution is iffy at best. Now that Gill the Ponce McLaughlin is in charge you can guarantee this is going nowhere IMO . -

Sir Paul, I'm not trying to point score but the trouble is there are Olympians wHo have suffered from loss of reputation plus time out of the sport. As pointed out in a couple of this mornings articles, this must be very hard for them to reconcile. -

Sue, I now don't think so. We have the ludicrous situation where a two year penalty for a drug violation has been reduced to roughly three weeks. Cooperation or not, the organisation in charge of ridding sport of performance drug use should not be making deals that are contrary to what they should be trying to achieve. I can't stand them but if I were Essendon I'd be bemused at whats been served up. -

Unfortunately, ASADA now look ridiculous. Here's three weeks Cronulla but Essendon, we are still going after you...well, sort of. -
In chronological order, yes, yes, not really.

Melbourne asks for draft assistance

Maybe so Dee but all of a sudden Evans has taken upon himself to declare that the goal posts have changed. -
The other stat that worries me is that, more often than not, we are shite.

Or perhaps he's just an overly suntanned, smarmy arse licker who has never left his Hawthorn ties at the door. I'll go with the latter. -

Well, he is coming off the wookie list.

DC, the bloke is totally devoid if presence. He will make AD look like a visionary and in many ways has assured AD's legacy. Was it Moyle who followed Sir Alex in the EPL? -
Enyaw, I hope it's not cyberstalking but I always feel compelled to read your posts. One word- insightful

Melbourne asks for draft assistance

I prefer your assessment. That's exactly right DC. His brother is another with the charisma of a stale turd who miraculously heads up a TV show. Whothefuckishe? -
Brilliant on several levels Enyaw.

Meanwhile Micky Malthouse, you can choose who your team wishes to play for your 400th (or 500th) game next season. And Sydney, I know you have won the 2014 Premiership but take the best all round midfielder in the draft (Heney). -
Melbourne asks for draft assistance

So rather than actually going before the commission where it is debated Mark Evans circumvents the process and tells us it's not going to happen. For mine, the Polo Playing Punce who now heads up the AFL will be remembered as little more than a smooth talking, spineless git who is devoid of both real vision and balls. You can take that to the bank. Whatever you thought of AD, I don't believe he would tolerate Evans ignoring due process. -

Is Ron Evans on that commission? Every decision he made miraculously aided his catering company and was passed on to us by way of overpriced, shite hotdogs. -

Meth Coast won Premierships with a team of body builders, Carltank paid Judd under the table and used to hand players bags of cash, Sydney has been given their own bloody academy and a higher salary cap, Collingwood received favorable draws year after year, GWS still receive special picks, Gold Coast had the same deal plus the greatest player of his generation and Essendon have their own pharmaceutical division. Time for some pragmatism. I'll take the priority pick without a shadow of regret this year and, if need be, the year after that.- 918 replies

I think you will find that's the case BBO. Even though on first glance she did appear to be mouthing "you've ruined my life you useless, [censored]pracks" she was in fact mouthing " bit stiff today chums, bounce wasn't with us today. chin up".

Perhaps we could go back to back.

I understand what you are saying but I also think that there are moments that can be seized to advantage. Along the lines of 'if there was a turning point it was when the coach brought us in after the GWS loss and spoke to us about...' There's a movie right there unless it ends in '..retiring'.
