  1. I was working with my father all day today and he played cricket against Max in school in Hobart, footy with him at MFC and went to RMIT with him at the same time (different courses though). He told me what a genuine person he was and how every now and then when he ran into Max he would always stop for a chat and be interested in what my old man had been up to etc. In his opinion - "...one of the nicest people you could ever meet". RIP Max.
  2. Only fee that myself and the young fella have paid has been the initial fee.
  3. My 6year old daughter got a 3 game family membership through the school from norf. That's 4 extra memberships in the total that are bogus. I just used the tickets to see them play the tiggers and the swannies at Bellerive oval. (My son and I used our MFC membership for the other game where the maggots crucified us)
  4. I also was at that game as a 13year old. First VFL game I saw live. Family holiday and we also managed to see a game at Waverley. Now that place was truly a hole.
  5. Planning to take the young fez to tomorrow's session. The club website says 9:45 start. Is that likely to be pretty accurate?
  6. We got tickets for the Bellerive Oval game and I reckon NM stitched up the MFC as our tickets were designated David Boon Stand, yet we were seated in front of the hill. We were just fortunate that the state was still in drought at that stage.
  7. I'm really hoping both Jetta and Viney get some brutal tackles in on Wingard this weekend. Both should watch some Matty Whelan for inspiration.
  8. Haha. Ragnar is not as tough as Max.
  9. Dank now planning to sue the Suns for unfair dismissal and also considering releasing details of his time at Melbourne. According to the smh article anyway.
  10. Not sure I'll be free as I have a heap of family coming from interstate and the NWCoast of Tassie for the game but if you are after something a little different to drink - a mate of mine has just opened a brewery (shambles) sort of between North Hobart and Hobart. Some very tasty brews they have going on there.
  11. What you just said is perfectly logical Moonshadow. However the AFL just deemed Heppel was only attending the Kia event as they were his "personal" sponsors. The AFL Integrity Commission will probably investigate us fully over this. </sarcasm font>
  12. Farmer, definitely our best win but do you think the cats only have Blivcas as the ruck that day may also have contributed to Spencer and big Max doing a number on them?
  13. I don't intend to have a go at you here Chris, as I pretty much agree with all I have read on this saga from you, but surely PED use, or any other substance that may be in the grey margins of legal use, could benefit almost any sport requiring physical effort, just by allowing quicker recovery from training loads or injury. Fast bowlers being stronger with bodies capable of recovering quicker clearly being a case in point. Unfair advantages can be made in almost all pursuits.
  14. You are correct - so I'll be more specific - the end goal for this saga should be to be a major deterrent to any other team that thinks they can get away with something like this and hammer JH, and others involved in the decision making, that led to this debacle.
  15. I can live with that. End goal should always be Hird's removal from all sport.
  16. It's my 40th on Monday the 11th. I could think of no better present than CAS coming out with a totally appropriate ban for players of at least 12 months from that date, and an announcement that one James Hird will now be charged with his involvement in this whole very sordid scandal with a life ban from any involvement in all competitive sports as the likely sentence. (He's in the same league as Armstrong)
  17. A little harsh on old Alex Watson there Ted. Nothing wrong with drinking 437 coffees before 11am is there?
  18. No way would juda$' pay be included once he had to retire. Big Mike F would have made sure the integrity (term used extremely loosely) dept. signed off on Visy paying the balance of the wage and it being outside the cap. Bluebaggers then able to backdate Cripps' future mega deal to partially appear as 2015 earnings, just to get them up near the 90%.
  19. Picket's not very optimistic in case you hadn't noticed Chris. I reckon he chalked up the next few years of us not winning already. Sorry Daisy. Great speech. Well done today also.
  20. Wasn't it Watson that Hogan rag-dolled when he kicked 5 or 6 in his debut season as a 17 year old with Casey?
  21. Hate to say it Al but I need to correct you on that. Hawks will win the flag then pick up BOTH Treloar & Danger.
