I'd like to see Howes play a mix of wing and half forward where he impressed as a junior. Not cutting it as a defender. Viney has struggled with decision making and skills massively to start the year but they're not going to replace him with Laurie who is our only back up mid at this stage, though did play well at Casey today. Fritsch needs to get his confidence up at Casey, can't keep carrying him in the team though his intent at the contest was better today. T-mac unlucky but goody I would imagine wants his ideal 3-tall defenders together in May, Lever and Petty.

Langford a rare highlight. Good to see Bowey have some form. Otherwise not much to enthuse about today. Hope Lindsay doesn't have a serious knee injury. He's already best 22.

We'd be half a chance if the players didn't fumble and miss easy targets. Nearly all players look bereft of confidence and their basic decision making ability are impacted significantly.

Haven't been able to watch but sounds like an excellent start from Laurie, Adams, Fullarton, Yze and Woewodin going by the stats.

Sestan carry over emergency presumably?

Sestan added as an emergency. Seems to be musical chairs for the emergencies list. 3 weeks and 9 different emergency players. Edit: Perhaps a concerted effort to ensure players get full games rather than a half or miss out entirely for multiple weeks.

Is Oscar Allen gettable?

Warner likely to stay at Sydney according to Cal. Might mean Freo and West Coast focus their attention on Kozzie (my thoughts). If Kozzie was to go then West Coast entering the race could open the door for us to target Reid.

Perhaps time for a 2025 edition with alleged MFC interest in out-of-favour Port key forward Ollie Lord and general player movement speculation begins early yet again.

I haven't been closely following where he's been training with us this preseason but he played his best footy, by far, off the half back line last year.

Clean player with a good bit of agility and pace. Got caught out of position a bit on defensive transition but not unexpected for his first game. Deserves more opportunity but will face a bit of competition with Spargo and Tholstrup once they return from their respective injuries.

Are there stats readily available for the number of players we had in the 0-49 game, 50-99, 100-199, 200+ and comparison to the opposition?

No wonder Langford looked gassed in the final minutes. Bloke ran 22km in a quarter!
