PREGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
Selection and where players line-up this week will be interesting.

A needed part of the list. Will probably cost a 2nd round pick given he's a young ruck. Only 22 as well.

NON-MFC: Round 21
Come on freo you pretenders. Need you to win to help us stay above Carlton which in turn will give Essendon a lesser pick. The greater good.

NON-MFC: Round 21
As much as we have MFCSS, it would be very St Kilda of them to lose to North today.

2025 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Lachy Dovaston is the highest rated small forward I believe and has drawn some comparisons to Nick Watson. I don't think he's in the same class personally (not many will be), doesnt have the same pace and aerial game from what I've seen. Still he has tricks, is tough and competitive and can use both sides reasonably well. Has kicked 26 goals from 11 games while averaging 5.5 tackles for Eastern ranges and kicked 9 goals for VM in 4 games at the champs. Keep in mind we have Marcus Prasad (unless it's another Ah-mu situation) who is in our NGA performing very well as a bottom ager for Dandy. Edit: Talor Byrne also kicked 5 for VC as a small forward, marks well for his size. Been mainly playing as a mid for GWV though.

When Langdford starts holding onto those marks, and he will, he is going to put the competition on notice. Has had an impressive 1st year. I'm curious to see how we evolve the midfield in 2026, with Lindsay, Langford and Windsor all chances to take centre square time.- The Brody Mihocek Thread
Optimist in me says he'll be good for our fwd line and will provide leadership for our developing talls. MFCSS in me says he'll prevent opportunities for Kentfield and Jefferson, they'll request trades and become succesfull key forwards at their new club and we'll get 3rd-4th round picks in return that we will package up for a slightly better 3rd round pick.- NON-MFC: Round 21

I think Laurie will be a good role-player at another club as a half-forward/mid. Goody clearly doesn't rate him which makes his contract extension last year for two seasons seem strange.- Constructive ideas to improve MFC's communication
I nominate @adonski to be mfcs social media meme creator/[censored]-stirrer to rival the Giants team.- Wade Derksen
Toe injury and out for the year. Appears he's likely dees bound this off-season.- Wade Derksen
Out of contract and not even a whisper of us progressing to re-sign him. Granted I haven't heard any speculation of clubs chasing him either. 3rd round compo, probably 2nd at best if he exercises his FA rights. Nil compensation if we bring in a FA like Mihocek.- The Brody Mihocek Thread
Wouldn't surprise me if Melksham retires at the end of this season.- The Kalani White Thread
They can if no one places a bid on them in the national draft.- The Kalani White Thread
Due diligence. Teams can still place bids and end up with said player if they club doesn't match. Riak Andrew being an example of this last year when Sydney bid for him late in the national and we passed so we could select Aiden Johnson.- Trade Targets
Not only that, it would have cost us the pick we used for Lindsay who's going to be an excellent 200+ gamer for us. What he's doing off the back of an interrupted pre-season in his first year is ridiculous.- PREGAME: Rd 21 vs West Coast
This club will do anything to not play Billings or Laurie 😅 Good luck Culley, I'm not sure a slow midfielder that's a below average kick is the answer to our problems but it's nice to see a change anyway. He can take a mark and runs both ways which is better than most of our mids. Edit: probably being a bit harsh, hope he smashes it in his debut game against his former side.- PREGAME: Rd 21 vs West Coast
Reid is out for the year with injury, perhaps Kelly will play his only good game in 3 years and beat us?- PREGAME: Rd 21 vs West Coast
Jefferson in, Petty to the backline. Don't really care about the rest.- Trade Targets
We were linked with Ryan Angwin last year before he signed a two year contract. Hasn't had many opportunities but has played the last 5 games and starting to look comfortable at senior level averaging 18.5 disposals. Plays wing and half back, is tough and a good kick. If he falls out of favour again or wants to return to vic I'd be asking the question. Giants have form of not letting contracted players go however so might be one for next year.- 2025 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Neither Toby Sinnema nor Kalani White got an invite to the National combine. The AFL website states Kalani while be attending the state combine with further details of other invitees to be released in August. Demon NGA player, yet unavailable for priority selection, Tairon Ah-Mu got a national invite. 2025's most wanted: Draft Combine nominees revealed - https://www.afl.com.au/news/1377000- Trade Targets
My only hesitation with Lever to North would be how threadbare our defensive stocks will be going forward. McDonald likely gone this year, if not next at the latest, and can't see May going beyond 2026. Petty and Turner would form our two main defensive posts. That leaves Adams, Cat-B rookie Berry (who hasn't played footy in 8-9years), and perhaps Derkson, all untried at AFL level as our back up and/or 3rd key tall. What could we realistically ask for him, considering he is a contracted key position player with leadership they're in desperate need for? Any chance for a future 1st? Dreaming probably. But not sure a pick in the mid to late 20s is going to improve our list this year in a weak draft.- POSTGAME: Rd 20 vs St. Kilda
I was at the game with two mates that are Saints fans. Both wanted us to [censored] them so Ross would be closer to getting the boot. Funny how things work out. - POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs West Coast
