Tonight’s Draft - The Second Crack
It is confusing and I'm still not across all the rookie rules. I believe AMW can be cat-b Rookied if no bids comes through.

Tonight’s Draft - The Second Crack
You're getting too caught up in the number of the picks. We will take Woewodin as our last selection (rightly or wrongly). So we either use 51 on Woewodin and be done for the night, or we gain future capital for next year and pick Woewodin up at the end of the draft. We now own 2x 3rd rounders and 2x 4th rounders for next year. Should help facilitate more trades or draft movement in 2022

Tonight’s Draft - The Second Crack
Taj will be our last player selected tonight so we are turning picks we wont use into more currency to play with next year.

Welcome to Demonland - Pick 38
Jesus 58er. He's a player I liked the look of off the half back line. Nothing more. I added a profile for people to read up on him if you wish. All highlights, eastern states more so, are below average this year for the obvious. Richmond liked him at 29, we move on and now welcome Howes to the fold who the dees probably preferred anyway.

Welcome to Demonland - Pick 38
My eye is on Tassie player Sam Banks as a running half back type to add some depth to our medium defender stocks. Reportedly has excellent disposal and great athletic attributes. 187cm 73kg Profile here https://central.rookieme.com/afl/player/sam-banks/ Limited highlights, first 5-10 seconds have a significant glitch in the video which should come with a seizure warning.

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
Happy with this. A developing key forward was clearly a need with McDonald and Brown not getting any younger and question marks still remaining over Weid. Most importantly he appears to be super competitive.

Welcome to Demonland - Pick 38
So who's next? Do we target outside run/medium defenders that many predicted we would for our first pick? I would imagine we will see a lot more trading tomorrow night as clubs target specific players for limited list spots. We currently hold picks 38, 42 and 50 and likely to only use two of these. We may yet trade up or trade in a future selection save for a surprise 2nd round bid for Woewodin.

Welcome to Demonland: Blake Howes
Hmmm. Correctly identified Bowey last year and started a thread on him. Demonland recently had a post which mentioned WJ talking to a recruiter. WJ promoting Howes in previous threads and now started a new thread dedicated to him. WJ clearly with the good sauce 🤔 Welcome to demonland Blake Howes. Or its just a coincidence 🤷.

Melbourne and the 2021 National Draft
So possibly 10 for 17, 37 & 49 perhaps? With bids would look something like In: pick 12 Out: pick 19, 40, 43(ish) If we're getting as high up as 12 then that could bring players like Erasmus or Sinn into calculations as well. Despite the phantoms I reckon we'll see a lot of "surprises" tomorrow evening.

2021 Phantom Draft
Some interesting points. - Hobbs falling out of the top 10 - Soligo, although selected at 30, was mentioned as an option for Giants second pick 13 (15). Would be the biggest bolter this late in the piece unless something else surprises. - Goater possibly sliding out of the first round. - For dees, Brown, Wilmot and Chesser around the mark. So more outside mid/half back types with pace.

2021 Phantom Draft
Melbourne Picks: 17, 37, 49, 57 (likely to use three selections) A father-son is set to land at Melbourne for the first time since 2014 with Taj Woewodin nominated as a national pick, meaning if a bid doesn't come for the son of 2000 Brownlow medallist Shane then the Dees can automatically grab Woewodin with their last live selection. That appears the most likely outcome, with a bid not expected before Melbourne's third pick. Dandenong Stingrays forward/midfielder Judson Clarke could still be on the board at No.37 while the Dees have nominated Andy Moniz-Wakefield, an outside runner, through their Next Generation Academy and he could be a rookie shot. As could Anthony Caminiti, a 198cm forward who kicked five goals in his NAB League debut for the Northern Knights.

Melbourne and the 2021 National Draft
Chesser and Howes seem to be the two most commonly linked to the dees with Butler, Wilmot and Sonsie also mentioned amongst various articles. Van Rooyen and Williams as possibilities as well if we look to add key position depth. Reads as guess work more so than intel and I'd put more stock into Cals phantom draft dropping on Monday as to the dees likely targets. If Sinn were to slide I think that would be the dream result.
