Steven May Suspended by the Club
So May has allegedly been punched in the head, while recovery from a concussion... while alcohol affected? This could have ended so much worse. Just dumb from everyone involved.

Steven May Suspended by the Club
This week could prove to be a catalyst to get back into form. The team is feeling some serious heat for the first time this year and should be out to prove a point.

CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
The rumour on here was we tried to offload him last year to get more trade collateral to facilitate a deal for Cerra. There were either no takers or the offers were so poor it wouldn't have helped us. We subsequently signed him for two years and not long after Cerra nominated the Blues as his destination of choice. No idea if any of this is true or not but it's clear the club don't rate him anymore. Wouldn't surprise to see Weid request a trade at seasons end if he can't get a run at it in the back half of the season. A key position forward must be high on the agenda come trade and draft time. We can't rely on Brown and McDonald this year let alone next and JVR shouldn't be expected to perform at a consistent level for another 3-4 years.

CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
I would suggest we aren't in a loading phase at the moment. Makes little to no sense to be doing that now so far out from finals. I suspect that our loading phase last year might have coincided with our fluctuating performances between rounds 15/16 - 20 just before we went on our 7 game winning streak.

Finn Emile-Brennan
Picked up another 25 touches off the half back line and named 2nd best on in Dandenongs win over the Rebels.

CASEY: Rd 11 vs Sydney
Very good from the 3/4 of the game I saw. Already looks a class above at this level.

CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
The bye can't come quick enough, a lot of players out of form. In: Weideman, May Out: B. Brown, Tomlinson Sparrow has been poor for a while but don't think we have an ideal replacement for him. Don't think Weideman is the answer either but BB can't stay in the team with his form over the past month. With McDonalds ankle rumoured to be cactus, we are quickly running out of key forward options.

POSTGAME: Rd 12 vs Sydney
Our defensive system seemed to fall over at times. Was unusual seeing Hunt one out in defence on paply with no back up.

Turner's an absolute jet. Hard backline to break into but reckon we've found one here.

2022 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
You're all over the Nab league WJ. Is there a live feed to watch the game or are you watching it at the ground? I have the nab league app but can only watch replays after the game is finished, usually the next day.

NON-MFC: Round 12, 2022
Not sure what Bailey Smith was thinking with that headbutt. There was at least 5 other Geelong players he should have gone for first.

CASEY: Rd 11 vs Sydney
This team would probably get the job done over North and Weagles.

Game 50 for kozzie this weekend.

Simon Goodwin on SEN (30/5/22)
Yes, premium instant coffee apparently. Sounds like an oxymoron to me.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Of course, that's just what I would want for him and not what I realistically expect will happen. I agree that I'd much rather deal with the Eagles than freo but moreso for it all to be irrelevant in a month's time when he signs his 10 year contract

Farewell Luke Jackson
Yes all fair comments and there are multiple avenues around the AFL rules or that they would be satisfied with. Another posted highlighted the rolling first round pick requirements is designed around protecting clubs from trading away their future. As Jackson is a young 20-21yr old key position player that has a premiership and rising star award to his name, it shouldn't be hard to argue to the AFL that he would kick start their rebuild rather than hinder it. As an aside, its interesting to note that only one team has multiple first round picks in this draft (so far) being the swans. As it stands they have pick 12 and pick 18, which of course came from us originally. For Jackson, I would want at least one top 3-5 pick and another in the top 10. Even then I wouldn't be happy and would rather keep Jackson.

CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Sydney
Would normally agree but 3 months of no footy or match fitness puts a big ? on that. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets a half or 3/4 of a game at Casey before coming in the following week.

CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Sydney
Goody on SEN said we will get back all of Langdon, McDonald, Harmes and Salem this week. Didn't specify if Salem would come back via the VFL or not.
- Welcome to Demonland Kynan Brown

CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Sydney
Out: May, Melksham In: Tomlinson, Langdon One of Brown or Weideman will most likely come out for McDonald pending the fitness of Petty. If Petty misses due to injury, McDonald to play back and Brown and Weideman get a reprieve.

CASEY: Rd 10 vs FrankstonĀ
Turner impressive.

Low Attendance
This, typically our games against freo are sub 20k

CASEY: Rd 10 vs FrankstonĀ
Hoping Laurie has a good game and can push for a debut and take Melkshams spot in the team as a high half forward. AMW also was looking fantastic before his concussion, hopefully he can pick up where he left off.

Farewell Luke Jackson
The more time passes the more concerned I am about Jackson leaving. We clearly planned a future around Jackson being the heir to Gawn and have no other recognised ruckman on our list outside of Daw who is a year to year back up proposition. If Jackson leaves, we'll either need to recruit one in the draft (goodluck finding another Jackson quality ruck here) or trade for an average second stringer in on the annual 2nd/3rd round pick merry-go-round. In theory would get a bounty for Jackson but I'm no longer sure that's realistic. West Coast can't trade their first round pick as they need to use it this year to satisfy AFLs rules. In theory they can seek approval from the AFL but I wouldn't count on it, so at this stage I'm not factoring pick 1-3 as a possibility. A future first plus change may be on the cards but don't think we would he happy with that. Freo will have a pick in the high teens (most likely next year as well) and will not be trading any of their young talent like Serong, Brayshaw or Young. Hard to see how we will come away from a Jackson trade in anything but a worse position, particularly considering the talent and game changing ability that Jackson has.

POSTGAME: Rd 11 vs Fremantle
I loved the look of Petty up forward in his brief stint there and wouldn't be unhappy to see that trialed again at some stage. Can't see it happening this year though.
