what exactly did Watts offer yesterday? A spare man in defense who lets his opponent run free and avoids the contest? At least with Dean terlich you get some run and contest.

I didnt suggest Barry for Watts - I suggested terlich - i was suggesting bringing barry in to atleast give some spread with blease out of the midfield assuming our inside mids can get the ball...

terlich offers more than Watts - he has a crack, he can kick and most importantly he offers run out of the back half - something we've only had twice in years (ward and grimes)

Jamar is gone - I dont know what he was doing for most of yesterday - rarely tapping to advantage that is for sure - at least Spencer has second efforts. Gillies - he looked lost but so did our entire back half. When the ball is coming in every five minutes and mids and forwards have no opponents it cant all fall on a first gamer to take responsibility. Watts - I just didnt get his game yesterday. Lets hang out away from my opponent and avoid the football and the contest. Frawley - i just see worrying signs from this bloke. Anger, frustration and not wanting to be there. Pederson - i think he will improve but I didnt see much preseason to warrant selection to be honest. Nicholson and Bail - we just dont need more runners who are good around the 'tan but cant kick Strauss - he is young but get him in the side - excellent decision maker Dean Kent and Dean Terlich - both showed more in the preseason than half our list. Passion, disposal and effort. Should have been in the side and will be next week. Jetta - showed a bit preseason so why no selection? Rodan - i expected more from an experienced player Nathan Jones - should be captain - was beaten yesterday but will bounce back. Sellar - its clearly a confidence thing. he is our Chris Dawes if we didnt have a real one LOL. But if your not up to it, make way for someone who is. McKenzie - do we need a tagger? How about run and spread? Garland - comprehensively out of form at the moment. Evans, Tynan, Fitzpatrick - give them a run. At this stage I cant see the problem with bloodying more youngsters.

And I just want to see players trying their best with intensity. That is all really. Four quarter efforts, never say die. Jamar needs to learn to tap to our advantage. Frawley, Gillies and Watts just didnt want to be there. Id sooner see Evans out there at least trying.

I like McKenzie but i dont know who he was tagging but it didnt work - Id prefer Barry and Blease spreading as outsiders with Jones and Viney as the insiders. Taggart has clearly done enough - Fitzpatrick might offer a bit more in the forward 50 but to be honest I dont think this is our problerm - our problem is the midfield and the defensive 50. Spencer is now clearly ahead of Jamar.

HAHA - some funny comments. Does anyone have a photo or footage of Cam's head duck? Will Sellar ever take a mark in a game? Will Dean Kent be allowed to play and show the world that he is miles ahead of half our list?

I dont agree. But time will tell. Toumpas was playing in a crap side with no structure and total chaos. Viney is unusually good for a first game player. The norm is little impact - even Wayne carey's first game was unremarkable and i was there.

Dean Kent and Terlich are better than half our list. matt Jones isnt far behind and was in our top 6.

Its just a waste of time the role itself. If all your doing is allowing a forward to run riot then what is the point?
