The enigmas: Watts and Sylvia
Norm Smith's Curse replied to NorwoodDemon's topic in Melbourne Demons
I cant really work out what is going on with either player. they say Jack is still young but his confidence is truly low and he has basically been surrounded by failure. Colin Sylvia I like the guy and on his day he can break a game open (as a midfielder, not a forward!) but I havent seen that in a while to be honest. I heard James wanted out twice to the saints. No idea if its accurate. -
I think we will show more against them but I think there are players that I hope are not selected and players i want in the side that will probably not be selected.
-
Just so we can have this on the record - Cameron resigning will not change one thing on the field.

Toumpas his old self? Mate he has played two games! But i agree he shouldnt be there - what other team would have two 18 year olds in their midfield? Tappie kicked 6 - bring him back I say. Watts could do with a holiday or some strong caffeine - one of the two. Maxie hasnt probably done enough (one good game) but Jamar is way out of form at the moment. Sellar is a REAL worry for mine. if your a tall and you cant take a mark you prettymuch just clogging the list for mine. Probably unfair and I hope he can bounce back. Dean Kent should have been in the side from round 1 - end of story. Clearly he and terlich are ahead of many which says a lot for mine.

Personally I heard rumours but I think most of it was a load of crap. Ive met Cameron once and he was a nice, well mannered and considered guy. Ive also met some of the players who I thought were utter D1ckheads so I dont automatically believe everything Ive heard about what happened here. Cameron was sacked basically because someone had to be sacked to release the pressure valve a little. It will mean nothing - other than the fact that the AFL will likely install their own replacement. It may actually be determinetal considering he probably has established connections that we might have been relying on to get sponsors although this is just a guess. There is way more wrong with where we are at than just Cameron. I think Don has been ok myself. I dont pay my membership to hear him recite war and peace word for word with perfect elecution. I think he has been ok. The whole exercise just comes off again to me as desperation. Replacing people wont change the fact that we have a c grade list and a game plan none of them understand.

what a load - they just got lucky with recruiting and had some talented players. If they were underperforming we'd here more about that bloke that got caught with coke. Dees were a powerhouwe back in the early 2000s and people were saying the same thing about Geelong. its simple - the dees just dont have the talent on the list
-
Isn't it time we stopped tanking?
-
Finally, some attention on our biggest under performer

Should have been traded before he is a free agent. -
Should we be worried that you didn't see this coming?
-
I've been saying that about Kent since game one of nab ball magnet, fast, agile and hood disposal. Easily in our best 22. gawnie had a good game. Would love to see him string a few together. tappie also played well.

Half the team has the flu? Rumour...
Norm Smith's Curse replied to Norm Smith's Curse's topic in Melbourne Demons
I heard Watts, Dean Kent, and a few others have had the flu. -
Im not sure if Watts, Gillies are the fair current whipping boy but James Sellar and the Jama are also putting their names up in lights...
-
i used to complain about Bail's disposal but to have disposed of the ball one has to have obtained it - which would be a step up from the last two weeks
-
Back when the club was respected. Good times...

Maxie and Tappscott showed a bit at VFL. Deserve a call up. The season has already GAWN passed us anyway so why not. whackawhacka

Andrew Demetriou - Only a phone call away
