Hogan looks great. I thought Cam Pederson looked alright - most of the better stuff I saw was from new recruits - Kent got plenty of it and having Rodan in the Midfield was a smart move - he backs up Jones well. Had some concerns about our defense without Rivers. Who kicked that turnover with about 7 minutes to go?

I must admit the thought of a conspiracy has appealled to me when you think about the people that created the story/issue.

Nah mate he goes the extra mile - you can hear the contempt in his voice when he calls us a 'rabble' or a 'joke'. He has from the start. being a regulor SEN listener I remember when it all started and it started not because he was just reporting or commenting on the dees, but because he said that we were a 'rabble' and a 'joke' and that we would never had success.

Been my point for a while. Couple of those were lucky not to be part of the cull to be honest because we seemed to have a large amount of one dimensional players with terrible kicking. Nicho's speed will see him through.

I have it on authority that the club believes Watts will get there so I doubt Denham's comments. Denham HATES the dees. Hates to the point where its personal. I know someone who used to play golf at the same course as Watts and it used to be a running joke that if he spent as much time on AFL as he did on his golf game he'd be doing ok. But this wasnt a serious comment - just a running joke. Personally if we lost Watts I wouldnt be really cut up about it. I do rate him and believe that he will get there. I dont see a superstar but I do see potential and flare. But there are players that if we lost id be more worried about. Watts just needs more coffees before a game - get him a bit more excited!

We all can understand where he is coming from. Well said and very accurate. Pity Adrian isnt a football commentator because he seems to have more balance assessment skills than some of the drongos who have given opinions on the issue already. Melbourne supporters are already bitter. Penalise the club and you may as well give the club the arse - plain and simple. But penalise us and Sculldog will be forgotten and the AFL wont get a cent ever again from any of us most likely.

Pre-season update: Davey to Jamar Big Maxie Gawn is the biggest legend / cult player at the club in some ways - but Im just starting to get a real concern that this big fella will never really ever get to string a few games together. he seems perpetually injured. With big blokes like that what do you do? Concentrate on skills and just let him stand and take a few marks? ease up on the fitness work that seems to run him into constant problems?

Sounds terrible but i doubt any will Im afraid. Maybe Pettard if he can string some games together?

I saw a meme the other day - Scullydog Millionaire.

They got kicked out for a bit of argy bargy and throwing empty plastic beer glasses at people around them (Ricky Pettard) and then rivers, pettard and howe got in that argy bargie previously described. it is very easy to get kicked out of the MCG now days - just ask the bloke with the fake money stappled on his jacket for Sculldog. Gone are the days when people would get absolutely blind and then [censored] their pants while they sit (which used to happen among other things in bay 13). But at the same time if you want to get [censored] and run amok as an AFL player you'd think you'd chose to do it in private. As for Frawls being rude when asked for a photo you can kind of understand why he reacted that way and why the fan got annoyed by it (if a paying member).

Probably not much to it, and getting kicked out of bay 13 is a right of passage for most in their early 20s. But that combined with hanging out with gangsters in vegas kinda paints the picture of incompetance rather than the opposite.
