All the forwards on the planet could be in our side but without the midfield delivery its pointless.

Yarren - Run out of the back half would help. We havent had that since Ward.

I remember Scotty Thompson in the midfield early and he just looked like a star. Bruce had some great seasons - one in particular where he was brownlow favourite as well until Guerra... But from the time we lost Thompson things have been downhill.

Everyone has a price. We should have made sure we found his.

true, too many passive, retiring types in the Dees for too long. Far too little mongrel. And you cant just bring in and manufacture mongrel - we tried that with Phil Read and Byron Pickett. Its more about the mindset. If tyou have hard, uncomprimising leaders it sets the standard for the younger players.

Dont say that. Your depressing me. And then after he carves us up and makes us look VFL standard, all our players will go over and pat him on the back after the game.

GOod call - and perhaps its just taking the older players longer because they are either dumber or cant be taught new tricks.

Yeah Tom showed a lot of honesty and intergrity with the way he went about it. He may be a star yet but he will always be remembered as a mercenary. he could have stayed and OWNED our club. Been set up for life and be remembered as a great club man.

Amen! I dont care whether he has been proven right be recent events. Point is that he never bought in from the start. And as meek as the demons often are, if they dont 'play like demons' in that game ill be very dissapointed - ive already got my banner printed up for the game: 'Prove $cully Wrong!'

Yeah all true - i wonder how long he will draw defenders because he doesnt look like he can do anything other than stand at this stage. He did do a few decent taps.
