Why are people entertaining trades like Cerra and McKay? Why not just let Tracc himself determine the trade? Trade him to North, GC or Freo. You break a contract that is the cost. If we relent and let him choose his destination we may as well package him with our first rounder.

My gut feeling is that he is probably right in that the club were too soft on some misbehaving players and the net result was the pending investigation. My gut feeling is that he has also approached this the wrong way and is now forcing the Dees hand. Melbourne have in the past sometimes seemed risk adverse to trading. Petty is an example. He looked good, but he stated he wanted to go home. We could have got a decent trade for him. Time to finally really be ruthless for mine.

Only Melbourne supporters would: - question who is doing the leaks without having the base level logic of determining who would benefit from these leaks and who wouldnt. - accept a ridiculous trade suggestion like McKay as actually having legs or merit.

Yeah this is how its going. The bridge burning, the make it untenible and now the 'he is a broken 29 year old on the way out. So he destroys his value and also makes sure no one else wants to come here. Dees need to actually behave like a big club now, not reactive. Either we hold on to him and potentially wait until he has no value like we have done countless times, or we get ruthless and send him to Gold Coast or Freo and get a 24 year old mid that actually has speed.

Professionally ask for a trade = get to choose destination. Unprofessionally publically criticise the club in a way to pressure a trade = don't get to choose destination. I still say Serong or Brayshaw and a first rounder as starting point.

It does and I still say the club need to stop the PR spin and be brave. I cant see a midfield of 29 year olds winning another flag. Its possible but its not probable.
