  1. If there is proof exonerating the players it would have been produced by now. So far we have nothing. There is no proof. That's the state of play
  2. It's a demoncracy
  3. 2 pies, a dog, a crow, but no room for the Jet. Who voted for this?
  4. I will be disappointed if we finish bottom 4, I think we are poised to surprise the competition this year! Then again, I thought that the last couple of years, so what the hell do I know?
  5. Turning over 14 players a year is turning over the list every 3 years, for obvious reasons, that won't happen. Interestingly though we have turned over 20 odd players over the previous 2 seasons (half the list), so we are still actively re-building, although we are doing it without any fanfare
  6. Hogans up next, then Tyson, then Cross. After that it gets harder to tell- I'm going for Vince and I cannot make out the last one. It is probably Jetta.
  7. I would be disappointed if we don't finish on top of Bulldogs, Saints, Drugs, Carlton. Out of the Victorian teams, we are amongst the most stable, off field at least (can't believe I'm saying that). Throw in Tiges for good measure ( they are [censored], they just scrapped into the 8 last year and have made no improvement to their list over last trade period)
  8. Is there a picture of Labamba in an MFC jumper in existence? If Jetta doesn't get a gig I'm boycotting Demonland
  9. If Jetta doesn't get a gig the whole things a sham!
  10. This is just a bit of his past catching up with him, he still has a clean slate with us IMO.
  11. Everyone's holier than thou, this is the internet after all.
  12. It would be a deplorable act if Carlton had have played him, but he's with us now.. So it's all good, move on and good luck son!
  13. Slap him in the wrist with a wet tram ticket and move on.
  14. Here I was thinking that players are tradeable commodities whose main purpose was to serve the club that invested in them and better that club's list. They already have the power to be able to bail on a contract when they want to suit their needs- now they want to deny their employers rights to manage their own list for the betterment of their own ends. Just reeks of selfishness and entitlement. Give an inch, watch these entitled brats take a mile. Who's running the show here?
  15. I'd imagine if this was happening to us, we'd have our fair share of supporters not wanting to face the facts as well. Coping mechanism and ignorance is bliss etc.
  16. Did they say why he was given a 2 year extension on the back of the drug revelations?
  17. Thanks for the reports guys, wonder how Petracca would have gone. I'd imagine he would have been tough to match up on and would've kicked 4. Damn
  18. Except he's playing for Brisbane
  19. Faceless millionaires will keep Essendrug afloat, the AFL are looking after their best interests- and in turn- the games best interests also. Don't get me wrong, I hate the drugs with every fibre of my being but unfortunately the game will suffer from 23 unscheduled byes next year. Essendrugs pain will be far reaching and they'll be feeling this for up to a decade, we still have our pound of flesh.
  20. There is still plenty look forward to, just sad for Christian and disappointed we have to put him on the shelf for a whole year just as I was warming to the idea that he would be the one to find early success. Bad timing and unfortunate luck, our lot. Tis football!
  21. They also have a duty to keep the game going. The AFL aren't the bad guys here
  22. Still very disappointed about this, hell, I'm still disappointed that I didn't get to see Hogan last year! It's just not fair that's all- like almost literally the two things I've looked forward to before the season starts has now been taken away from me two years in a row, and after all the encouraging reports from training I couldn't wait to see what he would bring. Wasn't expecting game winning performances. On a related note, if we have another season of less than 5 wins, with no youngsters showing improvement, where does the hope come from?
  23. I was thinking everything was going along all too swimmingly. Misery, welcome back, my old friend!
