Demons told Harry Taylor 'We are going to pick you up'
Jesse Christ replied to BAMF's topic in Melbourne Demons
Would have been nice if we did pick him up. He seems pretty stoked we didn't, however. And lets face it, unless your passionate about the dees like we are, we would all have been thinking we dodged a bullet there too -
I think Mick's been a little hard done by, and if this stupid deal wasn't in place he would have still coached next year. This will hopefully start to unravel things down at Scum town! I couldn't care about Eade going there, or Buckley coaching them.. I want to focus on my team next year. The rest is merely gossip! Go Dees!

If you were granted three wishes during trade week ...
Jesse Christ replied to a topic in Melbourne Demons
My first wish would be to be anyone else apart from "gubby Allen" My second wish would be for a chocolate fountain in my room. My third wish would be for even more silly and unrealistic threads on Demonland. -
I'd rather Taylor Hansen. That post make me want to real life face palm

Why do you come to us with this crap? Think about things before you make a thread. Everything about this is stupid.

Winner: Geelong Margin: 14 points Norm Smith: Ottens Prediction of play- Geelong dominate opening quarter but only hold a 12 point lead. The contest remains a stalemate until Collingwood launch an attack which is too late. Ottens kills it in the ruck and kicks 3 of his own.

LOL!! Welcome to the Internet daisycutter. And I usually just go to the self service counters and put bananas through as onions.. do I care? NO- I like bananas in my milkshakes and they rip the farmers off, so karma!

2011 Player Review - # 1 Matthew Warnock
Jesse Christ replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Warnock for Bruce. Lolz just kidding- Bruce is a [censored] player. In all seriousness if Dermie thinks Warnock can walk into the Hawks backline then he could easily walk into the saints. Tell me GWS wouldn't be interested either! Package him with a compo pic or two to those GWS flogs for that Omeara fella. I said before we shouldn't trade with these bloodsuckers but I was upset then. It's back to business now.- 18 replies

What's the hold up? He's not happy with the recent appointments in the coaching department or is he still holding out for that extra year? Earn it. Because the year you had last year is definitely not worthy of a 2 year extension. And that's not even taking into account the 30 and over 1 year policy. Stop being a demanding sook, take your hundreds of thousands for kicking a leather ball around and suck it up princess!
-
Lol we'll have a coach for every player soon enough.
-
The "player reviews" are cringe worthy. I don't see what the appeal is to anyone without mild brain damage. Trengove rocked though. I had a dream about it last night. Watts lost me a bit.
-
Good luck if true.. but It's Sportsnewsfirst right? They have as much credibility as Brendan Fevola on mad Monday.
-
Got to be honest, I couldn't take my eyes off Trengove. Wow, he owned the [censored] out of that stage, and those (albeit fake) tatts really done it for me! Wonder if Dangerfield was "very excited" for Craig, or excited at the prospect of possibly being coached by him again?.... Chase him HARD at the end of 2012. I see him as a Dustin Martin with a softer head.
-
God I wish he'd give up the journo crap and just stay with us. What a problem solver he's turned out to be. I may have to name him "Mr Wolf" now (because he solves problems) instead of Mr Lyon.

As part of this, a key responsibility for the Director of Sport Performance will be supporting, developing and mentoring the coaching team. The role will strongly focus on the establishment of an elite performance culture, in particular strategy and innovation. The reporting structure shall not, in any way, dilute the status, scope or significance of the role of Senior Coach, but allow the senior coach and his coaching team to focus on achieving their full potential both personally and in context of team performance. So I gleamed from the MFC website that this is what he will be doing. So essentially he be a mentor to the coaching team, allowing Neeld to focus more on what he has to do. A liaison to the coach of sorts. Well as long as everyone knows their role hopefully it all runs smoothly. Excited about this- all of a sudden we are getting big names and making statements. We're in this for keeps! Go Dees!

I don't know- I wanted Craig as an assistant to Neeld because I respect his background, but truth be told, I don't actually know how that would work- What will Craig actually be doing apart from being an experienced "advisor" of sorts? And yes, I too got the feeling of so many chefs in the kitchen now.. I'm hoping Neeld is an excellent manager of people because there are a lot of assistants under him. Don't get me wrong I still see all of this as positive it's just that I don't know that much about coaching and all the different levels needed. PS I decided to go substance over style. Borlee warms the heart.

I have no problem with 400k a year, but there is no way were trading Petterd for him. Required player in my team and Neeld would agree. Yeah, we need a big bodied forward, but we can't rob ourselves to get one. I'd trade either Bate or Warnock for him, or a low pick.
-
This is good news and I am happy as I wanted either a big name as coach, or a highly credentialed tag team, and Neeld Craig it is! So will Craig's role entail? How much input does he have?

You guys should stop your fighting. You're letting the machines win.
-
That was my fault. Sloonie is sorry.
-
Can we just say whatever we want in this thread?
-
My opinion was it was a tad harsh, hence didn't really agree with you. Then you threw your rattle on the ground and started stamping your feet.
