  1. That’s incorrect, clubs will back themselves, yes we lost Jackson but our current side has Nibbler, Sparrow, Petty, Pickett, Rivers, Mcvee, Woewodin, Chandler, Rooey and May all interstaters
  2. They only drink Barry’s tea in Munster, McKenna being from Ulster I’d hazard a guess would be a Lyons Tea man
  3. Curtin helped coach one of the development squads at Claremont this year , mate of mine worked with him and said he was fantastic with the players no ego and fully engaged with the program
  4. Yes but I may be biased, I’ve never worked with O’Sullivan
  5. Apologies misread your post but I dont think they’ll take that either. Another pick needed
  6. No way the Dogs with Lobb, JUH, Darcy, Naughton take Curtin especially also having access to Croft
  7. Curtin has several strings to his bow and potential across all 3 lines. As said on another thread, North are into him and whilst that may be Clarkson playing mind games with West Coast, he has let it be known he sees Curtin as part of their future spine. Whilst he has several attributes and could be anything don’t think for 1 minute he can’t play a lockdown 1 v 1 roll. Watch his game for WA vs Allies when they moved him onto Walter. There’s also several WAFL seniors games to review him
  8. Reckon the Dogs will take Watson, think we will take Sanders
  9. North are taking Mckercher and Duursma unless they get pick 1 then it’s Reid and Mckercher. They also are keeping an open mind on Curtin, but that may have just been Clarko playing mind games with West Coast
  10. I would love Reid, Duursma or Mckercher but that ain’t happening keep 6 and 11 if we can’t trade up then pairing of Curtin and Wilson Sanders and O’Sullivan O’Sullivan and Wilson Sanders and Murphy may be good
  11. Poor taste and actually disgraceful by anyone supporting the club
  12. As does my point Danger moves to Cats 5 years after they win a flag Lever moves to Dees from a team who finished H and A top and lose the GF to move to a team who hadn’t played finals in 12 years but look on the up Cameron moves to a team who are in the window because they made GF the previous year you say May moves to Melbourne after they made the PF the previous year but doesn’t go to the side who finished R/up
  13. I don’t think I did, Cats hadn’t won a flag when they picked up Danger or Cameron, nor had Hawks (08 defensive group had dropped off) when Lake went there. Both sides were in contention when those players wanted to move there
  14. Or like when Lever picked us over Collingwood and May picked us over Collingwood and Hawthorn
  15. Would you trade 6 and 11 for pick 1
  16. Think we need a mid as well love Curtin but also like what I see of O’Sullivan
  17. He’s raw, but the upside is huge. Late to the game and wants to learn. Whoever takes him will need to put time into him, but will definitely be drafted
  18. If the medical and fitness staff give it the thumbs up, worth a look at IMO. Skillful player with good vision and scoreboard impact at his best at 28 still in his good years if the body is right
  19. I spoke with Dan on Monday, said he felt sore during the Colts grand final and hadn’t realised he’d strained his hamstring. Finished the game strongly so whilst he wasn’t outstanding through the game his reading of the play saw him important when moved down back
  20. My wife was 7 months pregnant with a 13 month old.
  21. Like the sky was falling when Max went down against Brisbane, you have no capability to think anything but the worst in every scenario. Young players get opportunity through injury and suspension and teams adjust when players are out, like we did during Clarry’s absence this season. As for Brayshaw every player in the competition is 1 hit away from a career ending concussion just like Daniel Venables. Whatever the outcome things will be fine, we will have Oliver back focused or we will have picks that JT and Lamb have shown they will use wisely. Teams need to continually evolve. The sun came up today, I’m still breathing and my family are healthy, life’s good look at positives and enjoy it
  22. From Saturday’s AFL Futures Scouting Notes: 2023 AFL Under 17 Futures
  23. Dan Curtin won’t partake in the combine. I believe he has a hamstring strain
  24. He’s not AFL standard , to slow and lacks lateral movement. Good state league player. Trained with West Coast during their Covid years and they didn’t take him on
