Actually. He is. Have a look at his phantom drafts over the last few years. He doesn't always get the order exactly right, but is never far off. The guy watches a truck load of junior footy and bases his phantoms on what he sees. He never gets to interview the players like a club would. He doesnt get any inside info from anyone. He does an amazing job with the limited info he has. He also loves chatting and sharing his opinion with others online very early on through the year. God knows why anyone would want to watch that much junior football in their spare time.

Not arguing with you. But I first read about this news this afternoon on News.com.au. It said that he had turned up to preseason in bad shape. The article has since been updated and the passage regarding this is no longer there.

Ok. Which players would you have drafted from 2004 to 2010 to produce us a premiership challenging team? Considering which picks we had at that time.

Personally, after reading all these threads on the drafting boards. I have been groupthunk into believing that all the players we could be looking have massive downsides. None of them are worthy of pick 3. And no matter which one we take will be the wrong choice.

Who did you have picked for us back in 2003 if not McLean and Sylvia?

OK. But isn't option 2 and 3 the same as 4? Doesn't Evans or Trengove deserve the same respect? Evans signed a 2 year contract, but many are more than happy to dump him to the rookie list or straight out delist him. Isn't this showing the players that an MFC contract means very little? I don't have a perfect solution. I hope the club have sorted this out with which ever player they are going to rookie by now. Missing out on pick 40 would be the worst option.

So what is your prefrence Nasher? 1. Don't use pick 40 2. Delist a contracted player. Paying out his contract and running the risk of damaging the trust with all players. 3. Delist a player with the promise to rookie on the same wage. 4. Ask Jetta to stay on rookie list. None of the options are great. The 4th is the best in my eyes, closely followed by option 3. Are there any other options? Does anyone know if Evans was at training on Wed and Friday?

I admit, it's not a great option. But nether is paying out contracts. He would essentilly be a primary list player as Whispering J has pointed out. It would be a bit of pride lost by Jetta. But he is a smart kid. Do we know how many years Jetta is contracted for? Did he sign a 2 year extension?

Remeber Maric? Would always play belters in the preseason and get us excited. And then..... nothing. We delisted him and Richmond pick him up, same thing happens again!

No way! not Fitzy! would much rather Fitzy than pick 40.Any chance we simply ask Jetta to stay on the rookie list? Trengove will be out for the whole year, therefore he would be able to play games as the upgraded rookie.
