I agree. Let's stop all the blame stuff and ask players ton be accountable for their performance.

I want to see Viney take the ball out of the first centre bounce, run and and spread the ball to a running Toumpas who will hand-pass over the top to Clark in the goal square. Goal - 23 seconds. I want to see Watts kick in from a rushed behind and find a running Matt Jones who takes on his opposition player and turns him inside out whilst giving off a hand-pass to Sam Blease who is shepherded beautifully by David Rodan allowing him to run down the members wing to deliver to Sellar on 50. Sellar puts a high ball to the goal square where Howe soars to drag down a contender for GOTY. Goal - 2 mins 30. ETC ETC ETC Go Dees!

Jack Watts is back and will top Niknat

Bloody hell Stuie, how come I'm agreeing with you? Watt's the world coming to? -

I'd rather have the class and skill and room for further development that comes with Watts. He won't always be a half-back flanker. If you can't see the potential with this guy I can't help you. This kid will be a star for this club. -

Watts is not a ruckman! How would Natanui perform as a backman? What's your point? -
Best 22 for round 1 - your call.

It's really interesting to try and sort the new guys and work out where they fit best. I'm probably way off here... FB: M Jones, Frawley, Garland HB: Watts, T. McDonald, Jetta C: Blease, Viney, Toumpas HF: Sylvia, Dawes, Howe FF: Sellar, Clark, Byrnes R: Jamar, N Jones, Grimes IC:, Rodan, McKenzie, Terlich Sub: Nicholson Em: Tapscott, Kent, Pedersen, -
No contest. You'd cross the sahara to have a whack at this...

No disrespect intended to any current players. My point is that we have moved on those who didn't care and that a new culture and ethos has been put in place where playing for MFC depends on commitment to the team.

That's what I'm talking about...!

At this stage I have nothing but high expectations. We will be better than last year because: Mitch Clarke will be back We won't have to play guys who don't give a toss about being in the team or playing for the jumper We will be fitter We have more options up forward Jack Watts has found his position We have Toumpas, Viney, Dawes, Byrne, Rodan, Pederson, Terlich, M. Jones, etc who all want to play for the club and show us what they've got We will be better because we are! GO DEES!

If I printed it out I could make it into a paper plane I suppose. Toilet paper? Mmmm. That will be my last string of letters on this thread.

Part 1 Part 2 Your point? Is this another one of those doom and gloom, pessimistic, sooky la la, self-flagellation, woe is me, i'm so miserable I just want to cut myself with something sharp threads ? Count me out - I've got a life to live and a footy team to support. GO DEES!

You're welcome - just bloody well cheer up mate! This kid will be .................. (fill in your own positive/superlative adjective). I'm more excited by his potential than Hogan and Viney combined. All class and can kick goals.

Fellow Demonlanders, I'm worried about one of our own. Old Dee has fallen victim of the hopelessness epidemic that befalls many of us from time to time. In old Dee's case I'm worried that he's fallen further than is healthy. I'm worried that he might not come back from this one without our help and support. He doesn't seem to respond to my gentle pokes and prods anymore. I think it's time for us to band together and help Old Dee see the light at the other end of the tunnel and convince him it's not just a train coming the other way. I'm asking everybody to get on board and post a positive reminder to Ol Dee. Let him know just how much there is to be excited about as we enter the 2013 season. Come on folks let's cheer the old bastard up. I'll start it off. Hey Old Dee, Clark, Dawes, Howe, Blease, Byrne, Tapscott, etc. When was the last time we had a forward line with this much potential? The future is bright my friend. Next year we'll add Hogan to that list. I can barely contain myself! GO DEES!

Old Dee, I posted the message below on the "boundary line or direct" thread. Seriously mate, you need to do some positive self-talk and get out of the morass into which you seem to have sunk. I'm on a new crusade now - it's called the "cheer up Old Dee campaign". Hey listen Old Dee, You have to pull yourself out of these doldrums. It's just as easy to look on the bright side as it is to be all gloomy about something over which we have no control. Lift your game sunshine. My challenge to you is to post a positive thought every day until our season starts. Let's call it some pre-season training to prepare you for the glory that awaits all loyal Demon supporters as this year unfolds and reveals the light we've been waiting for. Our time is coming OD but you've got to believe! Can you do it? GO DEES!

Please explain why you'd be reading anything from the Richmond website? That should be grounds for a life ban from Demonland. Mods, where are you?

I still think the powers that be will give him the three years. We would be a laughing stock if we sacked a coach after two years and had to pay out his contract. Think of the damage that would do to the brand. He will get his three years. Nothing more certain.
-
What makes you think Neeld's job is under any sort of threat? He has been given a job to do and he's doing it. Unless we go seriously backwards this year, Neeld is as safe as houses. I suspect that eight or nine wins will see him offered a contract extension. The season hasn't even started and you're putting the curse on him. FFS! GO DEES!
-
Hopefully, he's matured a little since Year 12 where he was just an arrogant, uncooperative kid with a lot of talent in one area. If that's the case, I'd agree but I'd want to do some homework first. No problem with his skills and hardness at the footy.
-
So it really is just about hearing your own voice then? If you're so dismissive of Melbourne supporters and feel so superior that you have no need to hear anybody's opinion other than your own why not just talk to yourself in the mirror? There must be some gratification from being on Demonland. Could it be to feed your own ego? Perhaps your bias is towards yourself and your over-inflated sense of general greatness. Methinks you're overly positive about yourself.
-
Well, that gives it a lot more credibility doesn't it.
-
Gotcha!

Gotcha! I'm sure your ego will force you to fire off another response.
